The 55-year old hosted this iconic sketch comedy program for the sixth time on December 6, delivering a whole lot of jokes and smiles to viewers just a couple weeks before Christmas.<\/p>\n
But that\u2019s not exactly what most people were focused on.<\/p>\n<\/noscript> (Will Heath\/NBC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nMany fans posted their reactions to McCarthy\u2019s apparent weight loss transformation, complimenting her physique on social media.<\/p>\n
One user, for example, wrote on Twitter (no, we\u2019ll never call it X<\/em>) that the beloved star looked \u201cliterally snatched for this monologue,\u201d while another user raved: <\/p>\n\u201cMelissa McCarthy looks amazing! That monologue was so fun.\u201d<\/p>\n
There were plenty more props handed out, as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cMelissa McCarthy! Oh my!! I\u2019ve had a crush on her forever,\u201d one person wrote. \u201cI had no idea she had lost this much weight. Should we really talk so much about someone else\u2019s body? Did anyone\u2019s opinion of Melissa McCarthy actually change due to however number of pounds she has shed over the past several months?<\/p>\n
Is she any more beautiful? Any less funny or talented?<\/p>\n

\u201cSomewhere in my 30s, I was like, \u2018I\u2019m okay with who I am,\u2019\u201d she told People Magazine in April 2023. \u201cAnd if someone wasn\u2019t thrilled with that, that\u2019s okay too. At some point I was like, \u2018They\u2019re not all going to like you.\u2019 You have to learn that the hard way, but it\u2019s a good [lesson].\u201d<\/p>\n
The Emmy winner also credited her husband Ben Falcone\u2014with whom she shares daughters Vivian, 18, and Georgette, 15\u2014for reinforcing her positive image of herself.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s so constantly loving and kind,\u201d she said back then. \u201cAnd funny and the weirdest human I know, to be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
