Their memory will forever be with us. In 2022, we were forced to say goodbye to some of Hollywood\u2019s most beloved stars<\/a> \u2014 leaving people with emotions they may not quite understand. The year started on a shocking note with the loss of Hollywood great Sidney Poitier and sitcom\u2019s favorite dad Bob Saget<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n People welcome celebrities into their everyday lives. Actors, musicians, designers, athletes and more become household names or fan favorites, and because of that, their deaths leave followers in a state of confused mourning. Despite having never met these people, their work has left a lasting mark on us.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The grief is still real because they have meant something personally to fans everywhere. Comedian Bob Saget, for example, served as a familiar, wise father figure for kids growing up in the late \u201980s through the mid-\u201990s as Danny Tanner on the sitcom <\/span>Full House<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He became known as \u201cAmerica\u2019s dad\u201d thanks to his role as a recently widowed single father in the hit sitcom, which he starred in alongside his TV daughters, <\/span>Candace Cameron Bure<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (DJ Tanner),\u00a0<\/span>Jodie Sweetin<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (Stephanie Tanner) and twins\u00a0<\/span>Mary-Kate<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Ashley Olsen<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (both played Michelle Tanner) and costars <\/span>John Stamos<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (Jesse Katsopolis),<\/span>\u00a0Dave Coulier<\/span><\/strong> (Joey Gladstone) and <\/span>Lori Loughlin<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (Rebecca Katsopolis).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Saget was just 65 years old when he was found dead in his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando while on tour on January 9.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEarlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room,\u201d the Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Office\u00a0<\/span>tweeted<\/span><\/a>\u00a0at the time. \u201cThe man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n After the news of his death, Saget\u2019s costars honored him with tributes. \u201cBob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has,\u201d Mary-Kate and Ashley said in a statement to <\/span>People<\/span><\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know what to say. I have no words. Bob was one of the best human beings I\u2019ve ever known in my life.
