Choreographer <\/span>Criscilla Crossland Anderson<\/b>, known for performing alongside stars like <\/span>Britney Spear<\/b>s, <\/span>Rihanna<\/b>, and <\/span>Luke Bryan<\/b> has died following a long battle with colon cancer. She was 45.<\/span><\/p>\n

The mom-of-four was first diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After years of treatment, she was declared cancer-free in 2021. However, the disease returned in 2022, spreading to her lymph nodes. Despite the setbacks, Anderson continued fighting with resilience, faith, and an unwavering love for her family.<\/span><\/p>\n

She also starred in the 2020 Netflix reality series <\/span>Country Ever After<\/span><\/i> with her ex-husband, <\/span>Coffey Anderson<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anderson and her loved ones have long been open about her diagnosis. In a November 15 <\/span>Instagram post<\/span><\/a> shared by her friend and photographer Lindsey, it was revealed that Anderson\u2019s initial prognosis, given seven years earlier, estimated she had just two years to live. Despite the daunting odds, she continued dancing, advocating, and raising her children with strength and hope.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lindsey shared that in Anderson\u2019s <\/span>final days<\/span><\/a>, she faced a series of heartbreaking complications. \u201cNine days ago she was admitted for cancerous fluid around her heart and a stroke. The night before, her legs went numb. Earlier this week she underwent surgery to drain that fluid \u2014 relief that also revealed how much her body has been carrying in silence,\u201d\u00a0 she wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis weekend she finally gets to go home. Today an MRI of the brain was done to see if her symptoms were from a stroke or if the cancer had spread\u2026 and with heavy hearts, we learned it is in fact cancer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

After her passing on December 3, a final message written by Anderson was shared on her <\/span>Instagram,<\/span><\/a> offering comfort and love to her community, family, and children.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy sweet community, if you\u2019re reading this, I\u2019ve finally slipped into the arms of Jesus \u2014 peacefully and surrounded by love. Please don\u2019t stay in the darkness of this moment. I fought hard and I loved deeply. I am not gone\u2026 I\u2019m Home,\u201d she wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n

She then addressed her children directly.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTo my children \u2014 my whole heart.\u00a0 Ethan, you made me a mom. I\u2019m still beside you, cheering you on. Savannah, my bonus girl \u2014 you were a gift God knew I needed.\u00a0 Emmarie, my Jesus-loving dancer \u2014 keep dancing through every season. Everleigh, my bright spark \u2014 chase your dreams boldly and without fear.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She concluded her caption with this final statement, \u201cBe gentle with each other. Hold my children close. And remember: heaven isn\u2019t as far away as it feels. I love you all. Always.\u00a0 \u2014 Criscilla \u2728\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Many stars are mourning the heartbreaking loss. <\/span>Viola Davis<\/b> wrote, \u201cJust devastating. Really. I never stopped praying and will continue to pray for her family, her children and for her name to continue to be spoken. God\u2019s got her\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
