Witnesses allegedly claimed to have heard a chilling cry from someone in the area where Texas A&M sophomore Brianna Aguilera<\/strong><\/a> was found dead after a tailgate party.<\/p>\n

According to a report from the New York Post<\/em><\/a>, Texas attorney Tony Buzbee<\/strong> said two witnesses who were in the area where the 19-year-old cheerleader died. Both heard fighting around the same time as her death, telling authorities they heard an individual yell, \u201cGet off me!\u201d just moments before the young student died.<\/p>\n

Aguilera was found dead on Friday, November 28, at a student apartment complex near the University of Texas, after the football game between Texas A&M and the Longhorns.<\/p>\n

Buzbee\u2019s first alleged witness is a man who claims he was down the street from the apartment complex.<\/p>\n

\u201c[He heard], \u201cGet off of me!\u201d \u2014 and screaming, and then a muffled cry between 12:30 and 1 a.m. next to the apartment,\u201d Buzbee said at a press conference on Friday, December 5.<\/p>\n

The second witness was reportedly across the hall at the time of the student\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother witness could hear running back and forth and screaming,\u201d Buzbee said.<\/p>\n

The Austin Police Department announced on Thursday, December 4, that Aguilera\u2019s official cause of death was suicide<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn every investigation, we have to rely on the evidence, and all evidence in this case is indicative of suicide,\u201d Sgt. Nathan Sexton said in a press conference.<\/p>\n

Sexton also said investigators found a \u201cdeleted digital suicide note\u201d on Aguilera\u2019s phone, \u201cwhich was written to specific people in her life.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Buzbee claimed Austin police did not talk to either of the witnesses and instead just jumped to the conclusion of death by suicide.<\/p>\n

Buzbee argued the alleged suicide note was actually an essay she wrote days before her death.<\/p>\n

\u201c[The lead investigator] sees an essay on her phone and he calls it a suicide note,\u201d Buzbee said. \u201cShe wrote an essay on the 25th that she deleted \u2014 and then she goes and kills herself four days later? It\u2019s really ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cIt\u2019s total baloney that they\u2019re trying to sell you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aguilera\u2019s mom, Stephanie Rodriguez, said in the same press conference on Friday that her daughter \u201cwas not suicidal\u201d<\/a> and that she spoke to her every day.<\/p>\n

She called for Austin Police to reopen the investigation into her daughter\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

In an interview with People published on Tuesday, December 2, Stephanie Rodriguez said she \u201cdisagrees\u201d with Austin Police Department determining that there \u201care no indications of suspicious circumstances\u201d regarding the November 29 death of Aguilera at the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI can deal with you (Austin Police Department) being annoyed each time I called or tried to talk to you,\u201d Rodriguez said. \u201cI can deal with how arrogantly you talk down to us each time we talked. I can deal with you telling my daughter\u2019s friends not to talk to me like I am some sort of criminal. But I cannot deal with you doing a news conference and saying false things about my child.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cWithout a thorough investigation, I cannot deal with you jumping to conclusions and not performing an actual investigation. I cannot deal with your failure to do your job, do your job.\u201d<\/p>\n
