\t\t<\/p>\n Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> is taking a trip down memory lane!<\/p>\n The 45-year-old reality star recently spoke with Time Magazine<\/a><\/em> about her new MasterClass: The New Rules of Business: The Ten Kimmandments with Kim Kardashian<\/em>, and revealed that right before she first became famous, she decided to change her name.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>Kim<\/strong> explained that before she started filming Keep Up with the Kardashians<\/em>, which premiered on E! in 2007, she only went by her full name, Kimberly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n She said that she was rarely referred to as \u201cKim,\u201d which the whole world has come to call her.<\/p>\n \u201cI used to always go by Kimberly, until we signed on to do the reality show,\u201d Kim<\/strong> explained. \u201cAnd when I looked at my chyron, Kimberly Kardashian, I said, \u2018I think that\u2019s so long for people to say.\u2019 And like, \u2018Let\u2019s just shorten it to Kim.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cAnd it\u2019s so weird, because all my friends from high school and growing up, and my dad, everyone calls me Kimberly.\u201d<\/p>\n Also in the interview, Kim<\/strong> said that since she was a child, she wanted to star on a reality show.<\/p>\n \u201cI really wanted to do a reality show since the day MTV\u2019s The Real World<\/em> came out,\u201d Kim<\/strong> recalled. \u201cI watched it with my best friend. I looked at her and I told her, \u2018That\u2019s what I\u2019m going to do.\u2019\u201d And she said, \u2018I\u2019ll be your manager.\u2019 I think we were 11.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cI said, \u2018When we\u2019re 18, we have to make a tape and send it into The Real World<\/em>,\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cHer dad\u2019s in the music-business management world.
