Lizzo<\/strong><\/a> clapped back at body-shamers in the best way.<\/p>\n

Lizzo, 37, took to Instagram<\/a> on Thursday, December 4, to show off her bikini body while shutting down haters. \u201cToday I saw a fat joke about me \u2014 in 2025 \u2014 and it was viral. It was a dumb joke and they were just laughing at me because I\u2019m fat,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me be a reminder to everyone to NEVER let anyone shame you for what you choose to do with your body,\u201d the singer continued. \u201cBecause when you\u2019re big they talk s***, when you\u2019re small they talk s***. Your body will never be good enough for them because it\u2019s not FOR them. It\u2019s for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lizzo added, \u201cIf I get a BBL mind ur business , if lose 100lbs mind ur business, if I gain every pound back and then some\u2026 mind ur f***ing business.\u201d<\/p>\n

She concluded the post by writing, \u201cAnyways.. my fat ass stays living with a paid off mortgage in yall bitches heads. \ud83e\udd71.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lizzo\u2019s celebrity friends and followers came to her defense and hyped her up in the comments section.<\/p>\n

\u201cU look insanely amazing \ud83d\ude0d ppl don\u2019t want to see anyone doing good these days \ud83d\ude4c,\u201d Trisha Paytas wrote. One of her followers added, \u201cWord! Also me: damnnnnn she looks amazing! (All the time).\u201d Another commented, \u201cTell em sis! You are beautiful in every way, inside and out. \u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83d\udd25\ud83d\udc4f\ud83c\udffe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lizzo\u2019s bikini featured bright yellow triangle cups with black snakeskin print. Her top was complete with halter straps and a knot in the center of her cups. The rapper matched the piece with coordinating bottoms, featuring high-cut legs and bows that tied on her hips.<\/p>\n

Lizzo\u2019s post comes after she hit her \u201cweight release goal\u201d<\/a> in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did it,\u201d she captioned a mirror selfie of herself wearing a red bra and leggings. \u201cToday when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lizzo added, \u201cI haven\u2019t seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!\u201d<\/p>\n

Lizzo later revealed that she was \u201csuicidal\u201d at the beginning of her weight-loss journey in November.<\/p>\n

\u201cI started losing weight in the fall of 2023. I was severely depressed. I had been the subject of vicious scandal, and it felt like the whole world turned its back on me. I became deeply suicidal,\u201d she wrote via Substack. \u201cI cut off all my loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n
