The Sex and the City star tied the knot with the audio engineer at an intimate ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London on Thursday (04.12.25), where only 12 guests were invited.<\/p>\n
Kim and Russell have largely kept their relationship private since they met during a BBC Radio 4 recording session back in 2016 but the actress revealed earlier this year the pair have “had a blast” throughout almost a decade of romance.<\/p>\n
The 69-year-old actress – who has been married three times previously – told The Times newspaper: “He was an actor originally. He\u2019s had an incredibly interesting life and really done it on his terms. He\u2019s a bit of a rebel, which I love. We\u2019ve been together almost 10 years now… And we\u2019ve had a blast. We\u2019ve just had so much fun.”<\/p>\n
Cattrall had been struggling with issues such as insomnia and the death of her father when she met Russell, 55, and no longer regrets going through such a tough ordeal as it allowed life to bring her together with her partner.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “I keep saying I wish I hadn\u2019t gone through all that. And then I thought to myself, well, if I hadn\u2019t have gone through that, I wouldn\u2019t have met Russ.<\/p>\n
\n“So life has surprises and trade-offs. It was a bad time, but I learned a tremendous amount. And at the other end of it was this incredible, fun playmate.”<\/p>\n
\nKim also explained that she is the “antithesis” of her Sex and the City alter ego Samantha Jones because she is happiest in a committed relationship, unlike the sex-crazed character she played in the HBO series.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I\u2019m the antithesis of her [Samantha] in many ways. I\u2019m a serial monogamist, and then some.”<\/p>\n
\nCattrall recently explained that her life is very different now that she has moved away from Hollywood.<\/p>\n
\nThe How I Met Your Father star said: “I have a home on Vancouver Island, which is my hideaway and basically my paradise because I\u2019m right in the middle of nature.<\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s long walks. It\u2019s reading books I\u2019ve never had the time to read \u2014 or reread. I love women\u2019s fiction. It\u2019s more solitary, just me and my partner.”<\/p>\n
