Lindsay Lohan tied the knot in 2022<\/p>\n
The 39-year-old actress admits that she’s learned an important life lesson thanks to her husband Bader Shammas. <\/p>\n
The Hollywood star – who tied the knot in 2022 – told People: “I\u2019m a very positive person so I always expect everything to go the way it\u2019s supposed to go \u2014 and my husband has taught me, \u2018You have to be prepared for other things, so you don\u2019t get disappointed. If this doesn\u2019t go that way, then it\u2019s okay.’ And that\u2019s really important to me because I never really understood the value of that.<\/p>\n
“You are your own vessel. If you don\u2019t nurture yourself, anything can distract you in a second. Anything can take a turn.”<\/p>\n
Lindsay previously confessed to being too much of a “yes person” during her younger years.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress endured a turbulent spell early in her career, when she was arrested a number of times, and Lindsay now looks back on her younger years with some regrets.<\/p>\n
\nShe told The Sun newspaper: “I was always such a \u2018yes\u2019 person to my agents and everyone that no one ever really took the time to ask me, \u2018Do you wanna chill for a second?\u2019<\/p>\n
\n“And if I knew then what I know now, I\u2019d definitely have used the word \u2018no\u2019 a lot more.”<\/p>\n
\nLindsay has managed to turn her life around over the last decade, and she now has a two-year-old son called Luai with her husband.<\/p>\n
\nThe Hollywood star thinks her younger self would actually feel “very proud of the mother and wife” she’s become.<\/p>\n
\nLindsay – who now lives in Dubai with her family – said: “I love it so much. I\u2019m obsessed with my kid.<\/p>\n
\n“The other day I said, \u2018Luai, don\u2019t do that \u2014 not a good idea\u2019, and now he goes, \u2018Luai, don\u2019t do that\u2009…\u2009\u2019 He mocks me.<\/p>\n
\n“If my husband\u2019s like, \u2018No, Luai\u2019, then he listens. But for me, it\u2019s like he laughs at me. But I\u2019m fine with it. I love every second.”<\/p>\n
