Roybal Federal Courthouse in Los Angeles, California, on December 3, 2025. <span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (Photo by Robyn Beck \/ AFP via Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to a new report from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2025\/12\/03\/doctor-salvador-plasencia-sentenced-matthew-perry-death\/#continued\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TMZ<\/a>, Dr. Salvador Plasencia was sentenced to 30 months in prison today after striking a plea deal with prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>Plasencia pled guilty to four counts of distributing ketamine back in July, admitting that he had prescribed the drug to Perry shortly before the 54-year-old drowned in his hot tub.<\/p>\n<p>In exchange for the plea, prosecutors dropped three other ketamine distribution charges and two counts of falsifying records.<\/p>\n<p>Plasencia was taken into custody immediately after he was sentenced.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"895\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.thehollywoodgossip.com\/uploads\/2025\/12\/GettyImages-471473130-2-895x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Actor Matthew Perry arrives at the premiere of &quot;Ride&quot; Brown\/Getty Images)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But in a bizarre twist, authorities allowed him to reopen his practice in August as long as he abided by certain restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>One requirement was that the doctor inform all of his patients that he had recently pled guilty to federal charges.<\/p>\n<p>Plasencia is the first person sentenced in connection to Perry\u2019s death 2023.<\/p>\n<p>But he likely won\u2019t be the last.<\/p>\n<p>Several other purveyors and medical professionals are facing charges, including Dr. Mark Chavez, Perry\u2019s assistant Kenneth Iwamasa, alleged drug dealer Erik Fleming, and the self-proclaimed \u201cKetamine Queen\u201d of So-Cal, Jasveen Sangha<\/p>\n<p>We will have further updates on this developing story as new information becomes available.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2025\/12\/matthew-perry-doctor-sentenced-to-just-30-months-in-prison-for-actors-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reading Time: 2 minutes It\u2019s been 14 months since Friends star Matthew Perry passed away at his home in Los Angeles.
