Amazon announced<\/a> Wednesday that it\u2019s introducing a new AI-powered Fire TV feature that lets viewers jump to specific movie scenes on Prime Video simply by describing them to Alexa+<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cOur number one mission at Fire TV is getting you to what you want to watch\u2014fast,\u201d Amazon wrote in a blog post<\/a>. \u201cToday\u2019s launch builds on that mission with this new AI-powered feature. Just describe a movie scene like you would to a friend, and Alexa+ will jump directly to that specific moment\u2014no more searching required.\u201d<\/p>\n Amazon says you can describe the scene to Alexa by mentioning details like the actor or character\u2019s name, or a memorable quote.<\/p>\n For example, you could say \u201cJump to the scene in Mamma Mia where Sophie sings \u2018Honey Honey\u2019 in Love Actually\u201d or \u201cJump to the scene where Deloris Jordan says \u2018a shoe is just a shoe until my son steps into it\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n Other examples include: \u201cJump to the scene when John McClane says \u2018come out to the coast, we\u2019ll get together, have a few laughs\u2019\u201d and \u201cJump to the card scene in Love Actually.\u201d<\/p>\n Amazon says Alexa+ can identify the movie you\u2019re talking about even if you don\u2019t mention the title. It then uses visual understanding and movie captions to understand the characters, plot, and action in scenes to determine the specific moment you\u2019re looking for. <\/p>\n
