However, the altercation escalated and Greene ultimately killed Duncan.<\/p>\n Witnesses who lived in Duncan\u2019s apartment building told investigators they saw Greene assault Duncan, and he was arrested in February 2024. Greene was convicted of killing Duncan in July 2025, and he was sentenced to serve 57 years in prison, according to local outlet WISTV<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n While he was found guilty, Greene insisted during the trial that he did not kill Duncan. \u201cI told my lawyers, I\u2019m like, \u2018I want to testify,\u2019\u201d he said, according to the outlet. \u201cThey told me it wouldn\u2019t be a good idea.
