Stranger Things<\/em><\/a>\u2018 Cara Buono<\/strong> addressed the show recasting \u2014 and aging up \u2014 her onscreen daughter ahead of the show\u2019s fifth and final season.<\/p>\n

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly<\/em>, Buono explained how the show found<\/a> a way to make Holly Wheeler (Nell Fisher<\/strong>) the focus ahead of the finale.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn season 1, Holly is four years old and she\u2019s in Joyce\u2019s house. The Demogorgon reaches out and the lights go crazy as he starts to reach through the wall. So I love how that was set up from the beginning,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n

Buono pointed out that everyone on the cast is \u201cgrowing up\u201d on screen.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMillie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo and the rest of the Stranger Things cast have evolved tremendously since the show began in 2016. The once relatively unknown actors burst into the Hollywood industry full speed ahead after the drama\u2019s massive success. \u201cI don\u2019t think Netflix thought it was going to be as huge as it became, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI watched all the kids grow up in the last 10 years. So we got some new kids on the set and I loved working with Nell. I love spending time with her,\u201d she gushed. \u201cNell is incredibly talented and has an incredible work ethic. She\u2019s very smart and we just stepped right into it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buono continued: \u201cI know that the audience has to suspend belief \u2014 in a sense \u2014 that suddenly Holly went from age six to 12. But that is part of the Stranger Things world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stranger Things,<\/em> which debuted in 2016, focuses on a fictional town where a series of supernatural events take place and cause mystery and mayhem. Anniston Price <\/strong>and Tinsley Price<\/strong> appeared in the first four seasons<\/a> as younger Holly before season 5 reintroduced the character \u2014 and aged her up for the story.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the show ends in the best way for everybody,\u201d Buono told Us<\/em> about how Stranger Things<\/em> sticks the landing. \u201cWith every great show, you can\u2019t satisfy everybody. But I do think that the audiences will be very happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buono praised creators Matt Duffer <\/strong>and Ross Duffer<\/strong> for doing \u201can amazing job\u201d with how they ended the season \u201cfor everybody.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n
