Amy Schumer<\/strong><\/a> is sharing more thoughts about her weight loss.<\/span><\/p>\n Schumer, 44, posted an Instagram Reel<\/a> on Monday, December 1, that was filmed by her and husband Chris Fischer<\/strong>\u2019s 6-year-old son, Gene. The child gave a tour of the family\u2019s house and showed glimpses of his parents too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Schumer added text over the video, addressing her followers\u2019 reactions to her slimmed-down figure.<\/span>\u00a0She explained that she doesn\u2019t use Botox or filler, and that she lost 50 pounds. \u201cNot to look hot which does feel fun and temporary,\u201d she said. \u201cI did it to survive I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you but the internet caught it and that disease has been cleared.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n That was an apparent reference to Schumer being diagnosed with Cushing syndrome in February 2024. According to Mayo Clinic<\/span><\/a>, it occurs when the body makes too much cortisol, which can cause a rounded face, high blood pressure, bone loss, stretch marks and type-2 diabetes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u200b\u200b\u201dSorry for whatever feeling it\u2019s giving you that I lost that weight,\u201d Schumer added, saying that she\u2019s \u201chad plastic surgery over the years\u201d and uses Mounjaro. \u201cSorry to anyone that lets down. I\u2019m pain free. I can [play] tag with my son.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Schumer also addressed her experience with perimenopause, offering to \u201cshare more if anyone has any questions about how I\u2019m looking or feeling or where I am in my perimenopause process.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She also acknowledged speculation about her marital status with Fischer, 45, a day after she posted photos of herself wearing a yellow minidress (and no wedding ring<\/span><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI never ever wear\u201d jewelry, she wrote in Monday\u2019s post, adding, \u201cWhatever ends up happening with Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism. Fingers crossed we can make it through, he\u2019s the best.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Schumer revealed her husband\u2019s autism diagnosis in her 2019 comedy special Growing<\/i>. She\u2019s said that it was \u201cpositive\u201d for their marriage.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI knew from the beginning that my husband\u2019s brain was a little different than mine. My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger\u2019s. He has autism spectrum disorder. He\u2019s on the spectrum,\u201d she said on the special. \u201cAnd once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he\u2019s on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
