Amanda Seyfried doesn’t find it easy juggling work and parenting<\/p>\n
The 39-year-old actress – who has an eight-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son with husband Thomas Sadoski -has two movies, The Housemaid and The Testament of Ann Lee, being release next month and a new line of products from her Make It Cute children’s company, and she admitted her workload has sent her “a bit bananas”.<\/p>\n
She told Us Weekly magazine: \u201cHonestly, right now, it\u2019s really hard.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is the most I\u2019ve ever worked with two kids, and I\u2019ve never had two movies come out at the same time. And so, I\u2019m a little bit bananas right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Testament of Ann Lee and The Housemaid are hugely different but Amanda is equally proud of both pieces of work.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cOh, my God, they couldn\u2019t be more different. I\u2019m very equally proud of both. I\u2019ll be honest, The Housemaid is \u2026 do not read [the book] until you\u2019ve seen the movie because then it will ruin the twists for you.<\/p>\n
\n \u201cThis is exactly what we needed, especially around the holidays. Do you know what I mean?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAmanda launched her sustainable toy brand Make It Cute with her childhood best friends Maureen North and Anne Hoehn and there’s no one else she’d rather work with.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI mean, they\u2019re my mom group. We all had our first kids at the same time and there was that connection too, and we just leaned on each other. \u2026 It was a community I didn\u2019t have anywhere else, in that way, that shorthand and the ability to joke about crazy things, and the ability to call in the middle of the night and say, \u2018I think I\u2019m this many centimetres [dilated]. What do you think? Should I take a bath?\u2019 <\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s the most intimate and supportive and comforting little community.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe idea for their company came during Zoom catch-ups during the COVID-19 lockdown.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “\u201cNone of us were working, and that standstill afforded this kind of space to explore the needs that we had artistically and creatively, and just as people that are used to producing things.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe would have wine on Zoom or FaceTime or whatever, and we kind of got to talking about things that we could create in the world. It felt like this perfect opportunity to put our heads together.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Mamma Mia actress can “go a little bit black” when she has filming commitments but she tries to be with her old friends as much as possible.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cWe did a bunch of trips this year together, which is always fun, because we have girls\u2019 night out, and it\u2019s necessary when you have two kids each.<\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s been really fun, actually, because there\u2019s always something [planned].<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s so nice to have those relationships. We\u2019ve been through adolescence [together] and to still be friends with them? They\u2019ve seen [me] at, you know, really insane, chaotic times.\u201d<\/p>\n
