\nThanksgiving Box Office: ‘Zootopia 2’ Feasts on $156 Million, ‘Wicked: For Good’ Adds Glittering $93 Million https:\/\/t.co\/7oi1KzJsUq<\/a><\/p>\n

This Thanksgiving weekend was dominated by two sequels. Zootopia 2<\/b>, the sequel to the 2016 animated film, pulled in $156 million domestic over the five day weekend, and $400 million internationally, including $272 million in China. Altogether, the $556 million opening made for the fourth biggest opening in history.<\/p>\n
Wicked: For Good<\/b> made $93 million in its second frame, which is impressive but trails the $118 million second weekend of the first film, which fell on the same holiday weekend last year. In ten days, it’s made $270.4 million domestically and $393.3 million internationally.<\/p>\n
Beyond those two box office behemoths, the weekend numbers were less impressive. Now You See Me: Now You Don’t<\/b> pulled in $7 million over the three day weekend, for $49.6 million domestic. Predator: Badlands <\/b>cooked up $4.8 million, for a total of $85 million domestic. And in fiifth place was The Running Man<\/b> with $3.7 million, for a total of $34.3 domestic.<\/p>\n
Newcomer Eternity<\/b> came in sixth place with $3.1 million over the traditional weekend, and $5.2 million over the five day weekend in over 1300 theaters. And awards hopeful Hamnet <\/b>started its platform release in just 100 theaters, earning $800,000 over the weekend and $1.35 million over the five day frame.<\/p>\n
Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man<\/b> did not report box office numbers, because Netflix, but it is estimated to have made $4 million in 600 non-major chain theaters. <\/p>\n
