Channing Tatum<\/a> had no qualms with her mentioning him in her new song Complicated.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

The Price Tag hitmaker references the actor’s 2012 flick Magic Mike – in which he portrayed the titular stripper – on the track on her latest LP Don’t Tease Me With A Good Time and she has revealed the Hollywood star heard the song before it was released and gave it his seal of approval.<\/p>\n
Jessie, who dated Channing between 2018 and 2020, told The Guardian: “I played him the song to see if he’s OK with it and he was.”<\/p>\n
She sings: “2017 went by ’cause I wanted \/ 2018 to be mine and be honest.<\/p>\n
“Met a Magic Mike, will that ever be forgotten? \u2018Cause everything they write \/ That’s the headline and the topic.”<\/p>\n
\nThe 37-year-old singer – who has two-year-old son Sky with partner Chanan Safir Colman – \u00a0hailed Channing “such a sweet guy”.<\/p>\n
\nShe gushed: “Oh, he’s so sweet. Oh my God, yeah! Channing is such a sweet guy.”<\/p>\n
\nJessie added: “We were such good friends and had such a good time together.”<\/p>\n
\nWhile she mentions Channing on Complicated, Jessie has denied speculation that the track Threw It Away is a diss aimed the 45-year-old star.<\/p>\n
\nSpeculation was sparked by the fiery lyrics: “Don’t ya dare rewrite the story. I’m the beauty, you’re the beast.”<\/p>\n
\nTaking to her Instagram Stories this week, she said: “Threw it away is NOT about @channingtatum I NEVER said it was.<\/p>\n
\n“The reason I am saying something is because I know if the shoe was on the other foot he would correct the narrative too.”<\/p>\n
\nShe continued: “I would\u00a0never want his beautiful daughter to ever read any of it or be told about it thinking I said it about her Dad. Not fair.<\/p>\n
\n“Channing and I ended our relationship on great terms and I have nothing but respect for him, he was never a beast to me.”<\/p>\n
