Morgan Geyser<\/strong>, who previously made headlines for her involvement in the 2014 Slender Man-inspired stabbing incident, has been found after she escaped from a group home facility in Wisconsin.<\/p>\n Hours after she was reported missing on Saturday, November 22, Madison Police Department (MPD) confirmed on Sunday, November 23 that Geyser, 22, was taken into custody in Posen, Illinois, according to ABC News<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cOn Nov. 23, at approximately 10:34 p.m., the MPD received confirmation that Morgan Geyser was taken into custody in the state of Illinois,\u201d authorities said in the release<\/a> shared via Facebook. \u201cThere is no longer a need to search for Morgan Geyser at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n Here\u2019s What We Know About Those Tate McRae and Jack Hughes Dating Rumors<\/a><\/p>\n In the original statement about her disappearance, police explained that Geyser cut off her Department of Corrections (DOC) monitoring bracelet and fled her group home. The statement said she was last seen on November 22 \u201cin the area of Kroncke Dr. around 8 p.m. [local time] with an adult acquaintance.\u201d<\/p>\n The DOC received an alerted that Geyser\u2019s GPS monitoring bracelet was \u201cmalfunctioning\u201d around 9:30 p.m., while the group home staff told the department that Geyser had \u201cremoved her GPS bracelet\u201d before she left the home.<\/p>\n Police were then \u201cnotified of Geyser\u2019s disappearance\u201d on November 23 and they released a missing persons report.<\/p>\n Geyser was living in the home under a court order. Following the 2014 stabbing incident, Geyser was placed in a psychiatric care facility. However, she was able to leave the psychiatric care facility and was transferred to the group home by Wisconsin\u2019s Department of Health Services earlier in 2025.<\/p>\n Back in 2014, then 12-year-old Geyser and Anissa Weier<\/strong> lured classmate Payton Leutner<\/strong> into the woods during a game of hide-and-seek. Geyser then stabbed Leutner 19 times, while Weier cheered her on. Leutner managed to survive the attack and crawled into a nearby bike path, where she was rescued by a pedestrian.<\/p>\n Geyser and Weier later admitted to the crime, explaining they stabbed Leutner in an attempt to please the 2009 illustrated supernatural character Slender Man, according to ABC News<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n
