Serena Williams<\/strong><\/a> and husband Alexis Ohanian<\/strong><\/a> are gearing up to be proud parents of two \u2014 and they could not be more excited.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSerena and Alexis love being<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>parents and can\u2019t wait to have another,\u201d a source exclusively says of the pair in the newest edition of Us Weekly<\/em>, noting that the tennis legend, 41, and the entrepreneur, 40, know the sex of their baby but \u201care waiting to reveal.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The twosome, who tied the knot in November 2017, already share 5-year-old daughter Olympia<\/a> \u2014 and know that growing their brood is going to come with a lot of changes. \u201cThey\u2019re slowly getting prepared and setting up the nursery, figuring out how it\u2019s all going to work as far as their schedules,\u201d a second insider says, adding: \u201cThey\u2019re just on cloud nine right now.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Williams revealed her second pregnancy<\/a> by showing off her baby bump on the 2023 Met Gala<\/a> red carpet in May. \u201cWas so excited when Anna Wintour<\/strong><\/a> invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala,\u201d the athlete captioned photos of the pair\u2019s Gucci looks via Instagram that same day.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The 23-time Grand Slam winner later shared that she and Ohanian didn\u2019t tell anyone \u2014 especially their daughter \u2014 out of fear the news would leak too soon. \u201cOlympia does not know right now<\/a> that I am pregnant, so the big reveal will be at the Met and then before we leave, I\u2019ll tell Olympia,\u201d the Michigan native shared in a YouTube video<\/a> earlier this month.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Last week, Williams posted a second YouTube clip<\/a> of her telling Olympia she was about to be a big sister. \u201cWe went to the doctor and it turns out I\u2019m not getting fat, but I have a baby in my belly,\u201d Williams told her daughter, to which the little one got so \u201cexcited\u201d she started screaming and running around the house in celebration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The six-time Wimbledon champion and Ohanian became parents when they welcomed Olympia in September 2017, two years after they met while staying at the same hotel in Rome. Williams announced their engagement in December 2016 by sharing a poem titled \u201cI Said Yes\u201d via Reddit. They tied the knot one year later<\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In April 2017, the My Life: Queen of the Court<\/em> author hit a snag in her journey toward motherhood when she accidentally spilled her pregnancy news<\/a> by uploading a photo of her baby bump to Snapchat. Five years later, she revealed that she faced a second obstacle when she nearly died while giving birth.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI was coughing because I had an embolism, a clot in one of my arteries. The doctors would also discover a hematoma, a collection of blood outside the blood vessels, in my abdomen, then even more clots that had to be kept from traveling to my lungs,\u201d she penned in an essay for Elle<\/em><\/a> in April 2022, adding that she had to undergo multiple surgeries and had to stay in the hospital for a week.<\/span><\/p>\n Despite the struggles of her first pregnancy<\/a>, both Williams and Ohanian can\u2019t wait to continue expanding their family. The New York native, for his part, is happy to have a house filled with women.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEven if we have, you know, 50 more kids, they\u2019re all gonna be girls. But we\u2019ll see,\u201d he said on the episode of\u00a0Who\u2019s Talking to Chris Wallace?<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>noting that he and his wife\u00a0<\/span>plan to do \u201csome kind of fun little gender reveal\u00a0<\/a>situation at some point.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
