Minka Kelly<\/b> stopped by <\/span>The Drew Barrymore Show<\/span><\/i> on Wednesday, November 19 where she opened up to host <\/span>Drew Barrymore<\/b> about her relationship with <\/span>Imagine Dragons<\/span><\/i> frontman <\/span>Dan Reynolds<\/b> and how it all began.<\/span><\/p>\n Kelly shared that a mutual friend had encouraged the two to connect. Before they even met face-to-face, she and her now-boyfriend spent time texting and FaceTiming while she was abroad for work.<\/span><\/p>\n During one of those early conversations, Kelly casually mentioned, \u201cWhat a crazy day \u2014 I just turned in the final pages of my book.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n His response surprised her. \u201cHe said, \u2018I want to read it,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cSo I sent it to him. I told him, \u2018You\u2019ll either be terrified and run for the hills, or you\u2019ll see the beauty in all of it.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Fortunately, <\/span>he saw the beauty<\/span><\/a>. \u201cHe was the latter, and it brought us even closer,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n Barrymore chimed in with her own reflection: \u201cGod, if we could all hand someone a dossier about our lives, how amazing would that be?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The candid conversation came on the heels of Kelly\u2019s awkward appearance on the <\/span>Today<\/span><\/i> show the day prior, where <\/span>Jenna Bush Hager<\/b> tried to bring up Kelly\u2019s boyfriend.<\/span><\/p>\n Kelly was on the morning show Tuesday, November 18 promoting her new Netflix holiday film <\/span>Champagne Problems<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n After chatting <\/span>about the movie<\/span><\/a>, Bush Hager attempted to pivot. \u201cSpeaking about the holidays and love and this rom-com, you have a very big love in your life right now,\u201d she said before asking Kelly to talk about her relationship \u201cif you feel comfortable.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Kelly grew noticeably uneasy, but Bush Hager continued, referencing a birthday tribute Kelly posted, \u201cYou wrote that he healed wounds he didn\u2019t inflict. That\u2019s beautiful.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt is beautiful,\u201d Kelly replied. \u201cI feel very lucky \u2014 he\u2019s a really good guy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
