Updated on November 21, 2025<\/em><\/p>\n A 26-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was set on fire while riding the train in Chicago.<\/p>\n After the incident took place on Monday, November 17, police said a person of interest was taken into custody on Tuesday, November 18, according to NBC News<\/a><\/em>. However, no further details have been shared about the suspect.<\/p>\n Police initially said that the woman was riding a Chicago Transit Authority train on the night of November 17 when she got into an argument with a man who was approximately 45 years old.<\/p>\n The verbal altercation escalated and it turned physical when the man poured a liquid on the woman, ignited it and set her on fire.
