With salaries like these, the stars of Frozen<\/em><\/a> will most likely never let go of the opportunity to voice Disney characters.<\/p>\n

According to The Wrap<\/em><\/a>, Kristen Bell<\/strong><\/a>, Idina Menzel<\/strong><\/a> and Josh Gad<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 who voice Anna, Elsa and Olaf, respectively, in the animated Frozen<\/em> franchise \u2014 scored groundbreaking salaries for two new installments.<\/p>\n

They have reportedly signed deals worth over $60 million each to return for Frozen 3<\/em> and Frozen 4<\/em> \u2014 among the highest in animation film history.<\/p>\n

Frozen<\/em>, released in 2013, earned $1.3 billion worldwide at the box office, while its follow-up, Frozen 2<\/em>, earned 1.45 billion in 2019.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWalt Disney Studios If you\u2019re a parent to kids in a particular age bracket, or just a fan of all things Arendelle yourself, it\u2019s been a long, cold, painful wait for news of Frozen 3. In the households of many young families the words \u201cWhen is Frozen 3 coming, Mommy?\u201d are second only in frequency [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The third film in the series has been in the works for a few years, and is set to be released on November 24, 2027, according to Deadline<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Frozen 4<\/em> is also in development, with Disney CEO Bob Iger<\/strong> telling Good Morning America<\/em><\/a> in 2023, \u201cI don\u2019t have much to say about those films right now. [Director] Jenn Lee<\/strong>, who created the original Frozen<\/em> and Frozen 2<\/em>, is hard at work with her team at Disney animation on not one but actually two stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Wrap<\/em> also reported that Lee, 54, will be returning to direct the films. Frozen<\/em> songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez<\/strong> and Robert Lopez<\/strong> will also be back to pen new tunes for the two follow-up films.<\/p>\n

Anderson-Lopez, 53, confirmed her involvement<\/a> on social media, sharing a Variety<\/em> story about Frozen 3<\/em> and 4<\/em>. \u201cWell, I\u2019ve been quiet here for a while,\u201d she wrote. \u201cBut yeah, this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Frozen<\/em> follows Princess Anna (Bell) as she goes on an epic journey to find her sister, Queen Elsa (Menzel), whose magical ice powers have trapped their kingdom of Arendelle in an eternal winter. She is helped by an ice-maker named Kristoff (Jonathan Groff<\/strong>), his reindeer Sven, and a snowman named Olaf (Gad).<\/p>\n

In Frozen 2<\/em>, the group journeys to an enchanted forest to find the source of Elsa\u2019s magical powers after a mysterious voice calls to her.<\/p>\n

In September, Gad, 44, shared an update on Frozen 3<\/em>, revealing he hasn\u2019t started recording anything for the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have not started recording. We have not heard songs yet,\u201d he told Collider<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI was lucky enough to get sort of a preview of what the movie is, and it\u2019s going to be worth the wait. It\u2019s pretty extraordinary what they\u2019re doing. Pretty extraordinary.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cFor me, my whole thing was don\u2019t do a sequel unless there\u2019s a reason to do a sequel. If you have a story worth telling, then call us up and let\u2019s do it. To Jennifer Lee\u2019s credit, she really took that note and gave herself that note and has created something that\u2019s going to be worth the wait.\u201d<\/p>\n

Disney CEO Bob Iger hinted at a continuation of the series in 2023, even teasing a fourth installment. At their biannual D23 expo, Disney revealed that the wildly popular saga of the Snow Queen Elsa will return to theaters. Keep [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As for Menzel, 54, she told Parade<\/em><\/a> in February that she hadn\u2019t seen a script yet but was excited to work with the Frozen<\/em> voice cast and crew once again.<\/p>\n
