Bloomberg<\/em> reporter Catherine Lucey<\/strong> was asking President Donald Trump<\/strong> a follow-up question on Air Force One last week when he leaned toward her, pointed his finger, and said: \u201cQuiet. Quiet, piggy.\u201d<\/p>\n He had deflected her first question, about a recently released Jeffrey Epstein email in which the late sex trafficker said Trump \u201cknew about the girls.\u201d Lucey was merely doing her job. But Trump, of course, doesn\u2019t have much respect for good journalism\u2014or, it would seem, for women, as his puerile \u201cpiggy\u201d taunt indicates.<\/p>\n The exchange\u2014which has since gone viral\u2014is shocking in its crudeness and nastiness, even by Trump administration standards. But this is also a familiar insult for Trump. Alicia Machado,<\/strong> a former Miss Universe pageant winner, previously said that Trump once called her<\/a> \u201cMiss Piggy.\u201d Trump didn\u2019t exactly deny the incident after Hillary Clinton<\/strong> brought it up during a 2016 debate.<\/p>\n \u201cShe gained a massive amount of weight,\u201d Trump said<\/a> of Machado on Fox & Friends<\/em> the next morning, apparently in defense of his insult, \u201cand it was a real problem.\u201d During another debate that cycle, before he became the GOP\u2019s nominee, moderator Megyn Kelly<\/strong> noted that Trump had \u201ccalled women you don\u2019t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOnly Rosie O\u2019Donnell,<\/strong>\u201d Trump replied<\/a>, referring to the comedian he\u2019s been feuding with for nearly 20 years now.<\/p>\n Trump doesn\u2019t only love comparing women to pigs. In 2011, The<\/em> New York Times<\/em>\u2019 Gail Collins<\/strong> wrote<\/a> that Trump once told her she had \u201cthe face of a dog.\u201d In 2018 he described Omarosa Manigault Newman<\/a>,<\/strong> a former Apprentice<\/em> contestant and White House aide, as a \u201cdog\u201d and a \u201clying lowlife.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump also dubbed Stormy Daniels<\/strong><\/a>\u2014the adult-film actor who said she had a sexual encounter with him in 2006\u2014\u201cHorseface.\u201d (Trump\u2019s effort to silence Daniels about the alleged encounter\u2014which he has denied\u2014resulted in his conviction on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records; Trump is still trying<\/a> to get the conviction thrown out.)<\/p>\n \u201cThe president of the United States is supposed to be the moral leader, the leader of the country, and he\u2019s acting like some thug on the street,\u201d the longtime White House reporter April Ryan,<\/strong> who was called \u201cMiss Piggy\u201d by a Trump official in 2018, told The Guardian<\/em><\/a> Tuesday. \u201cIt\u2019s one thing for his minions to say that, but for him to call a woman that? That also shows how upset he is about the Epstein files. It lets us know that there\u2019s probably some fire there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
