Bobbi Althoff<\/strong> is giving fans an update on her smile after a botched Botox<\/a> session left her face paralyzed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been two weeks since I did my botched Botox. And let me show you guys the updated smile,\u201d Althoff, 28, said in an Instagram Stories video on Monday, November 17. \u201cThe doctor refunded the \u2026 I think it was, like, $1,600, and he said that he did nothing wrong, but he refunded it anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n

Showing the camera her small smile, Althoff added, \u201cThat\u2019s as big as it can be. \u2026 It makes me so mad. I wanted to take family pictures this winter, I can\u2019t smile, and it sucks so bad. It, like, makes me so angry, because I just, there\u2019s nothing I can do about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The podcaster\u2019s update came days after she revealed her facial paralysis in a November 9 TikTok<\/a> video.<\/p>\n

\u201cMorning, guys, apparently I do not learn from my mistakes, because I like to repeat them, just to make sure that it was a mistake the first time. But if you\u2019re wondering, \u2018Bobbi, why can\u2019t your face move?\u2019 Well, let me tell you why,\u201d Althoff began.<\/p>\n

Althoff revealed that she first received \u201c20 units of Botox\u201d in her chin in November 2023, which made her unable to smile for several weeks. Though she initially vowed never to get the injections<\/a> again, she recently changed her mind when she began experiencing \u201cbad jaw problems.\u201d<\/p>\n

Althoff said she decided to see a TMJ specialist, who recommended that she get Botox in her jaw for pain relief.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, \u2018Yeah, but I\u2019ve had a bad experience with Botox. I don\u2019t know, I\u2019m a little bit scared to do Botox,\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd he\u2019s like, \u2018No, this will really help.\u2019 And when you combine it with a bunch of other stuff that he had me do \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Althoff said she was alarmed when the doctor recommended that they do \u201c100 units\u201d of Botox.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s like, \u2018We\u2019re gonna do 100 units,\u2019 has me sign a waiver. And when he said 100 units, I was like, \u2018That feels like a lot. I\u2019ve had a really bad experience, and I was like, \u2018That won\u2019t change my face at all?\u2019\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n

Althoff added that the doctor reassured her that she wouldn\u2019t \u201cnotice\u201d a physical difference.<\/p>\n

Althoff ultimately accepted the treatment and received 25 units of Botox in each of her temples, which caused her eyes to \u201clook like they\u2019re frozen.\u201d Meanwhile, the remaining units in her chin made her unable to smile.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomething\u2019s wrong. I don\u2019t know what it is, but something\u2019s not moving right. I can\u2019t tell you what it is,\u201d the mom of two said, adding that she woke up two days in a row with migraines and has a lisp when speaking.<\/p>\n
