Claire Danes has opened up about her pregnancy<\/p>\n
The Hollywood star – who has Cyrus, 12, Rowan, seven, and a two-year-old daughter, whose name has not been revealed, with husband Hugh Dancy – has admitted that she never imagined getting pregnant at the age of 44.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the Smartless podcast, Claire explained: “I did not foresee this at all. And it was weird. Suddenly, I felt like a funny shame.<\/p>\n
“I was naughty. I had been caught fornicating past the point I was meant to. No, it was weird, and it was like I found an edge that I hadn\u2019t been quite conscious of \u2014 like I was going outside of the parameters a little bit.”<\/p>\n
Claire, 46, also never imagined having kids who are so far apart in terms of their ages.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress reflected: “It’s a trip. I mean, I have a teenager and a toddler at once.”<\/p>\n
\nClaire previously admitted that her youngest son was “categorically opposed” to having another sibling.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said: “Cyrus was sort of resigned to it. I mean, the worst has already happened, his name is Rowan. <\/p>\n
\n“But Rowan has more to lose, like, he has more at stake. And he was categorically opposed to the idea. <\/p>\n
\n“He said, \u2018Yeah, no no no, I don\u2019t like it. I like peace, Mama.\u2019 I was like, that\u2019s rich because that dude does not shut up!”<\/p>\n
\nThe youngster was so horrified at the idea of having another sibling that he suggested they give the new arrival away to a different family – but Claire and Hugh found a way to win him round.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “[He said to me] ‘When it comes out of your tummy, we\u2019ll give it to a family that doesn\u2019t have a baby because we\u2019re done.’ <\/p>\n
\n“He was less than thrilled but then we talked about how when the baby comes out, it\u2019s going to be pretty dumb [and] doesn\u2019t know a lot, [and will] need assistance and some educating. That was interesting to him. <\/p>\n
\n“He liked the idea of being a condescending presence. So, now he\u2019s a little more optimistic.”<\/p>\n
