Prime Video\u2019s Malice<\/em> followed a<\/a> male nanny working for a wealthy family while secretly planning to ruin their lives \u2014 but how did the show end?<\/p>\n

During season 1, which premiered on Friday, November 14, Adam (Jack Whitehall<\/strong>) successfully ruined Jamie\u2019s (David Duchovny<\/strong>) life ahead of the finale. He blamed Jamie for his father\u2019s downfall and his attempt to seek revenge led to affairs and even Damien\u2019s (Raza Jaffrey) murder.<\/p>\n

Adam and Jamie\u2019s reunion in the finale<\/a> led to a face-off as the police closed in. Before the authorities arrived, Adam shot Jamie and escaped. His expression was the final scene of the show, which hinted that Jamie getting what he was hoping for didn\u2019t bring him the pleasure he was hoping for all season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so refreshing. It would be such an easy trope if Jamie is fine and everyone survives,\u201d Christine Adams<\/strong>, who plays Jules, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cWhile it is sad, it\u2019s a really satisfying twist.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams, 51, was thrilled about the shakeup, adding, \u201cAudiences really deserve that sometimes. Because we don\u2019t always need to wrap everything up in a nice little bow. I think it\u2019s great TV.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jaffrey, 50, meanwhile, praised the other twists \u2014 including his onscreen death.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful getting to play a character who people might write off early on as having been completely checked out. He\u2019s not really engaged in it and he\u2019s quite happy lying on the beach and doesn\u2019t want to know [anything] for a lot of the show,\u201d he noted about Damien\u2019s eventual investigation into Adam. \u201cWhen you realize, \u2018Oh, this character is someone who listens really well and as a result has maybe been able to spot some stuff.’\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cHe also doesn\u2019t care what people think. If he\u2019s got it wrong, he doesn\u2019t care, which is a real great trait. But maybe that\u2019s not the best idea for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams also got to be involved in unmasking Adam.<\/a><\/p>\n
