\t\t<\/p>\n Richard Gere<\/strong><\/a> is sharing what he likes best about his home in Spain and what he misses about the United States.<\/p>\n The 76-year-old actor lives abroad now with his wife Alejandra Silva<\/strong><\/a>. On Tuesday (November 12), he attended the DOC NYC Visionaries Tribute Luncheon at Gotham Hall and talked to People<\/a><\/em> about life in Spain.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMy wife is so happy in Spain, so that\u2019s the best part of that. She has wonderful family, wonderful friends,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cSpanish culture, there\u2019s a very open joy about it,\u201d he added, saying people are \u201cvery warm and very open and a lot less stressed than what you find here in the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a very happy place. Like the Italians. I mean, being in Italy, being in Spain, you\u2019re dealing with Latin cultures that just understand life in a different way than we do here,\u201d Richard continued.<\/p>\n But the main thing he does miss about New York is the city\u2019s iconic \u201cenergy,\u201d something he called \u201cvery addictive.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s not often that Richard<\/strong> and Alejandra<\/strong> attend red-carpet events together, but they did in October for a screening of his documentary Wisdom of Happiness<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
