One day after sparking outrage with her viral comments about Jeffrey Epstein, Megyn Kelly<\/strong> returned to the air to argue that she is the one who really<\/em> cares about the late convicted pedophile\u2019s victims.<\/p>\n On Wednesday, after the House Oversight Committee released more than 20,000 emails<\/a> sent to and from Epstein, Kelly immediately drew flack for appearing to equivocate<\/a> on Epstein\u2019s behalf: \u201cHe was into the barely-legal type,\u201d Kelly said on her show<\/a>. \u201cLike, he liked 15-year-old girls. And I realize this is disgusting. I\u2019m definitely not trying to make an excuse for this. I\u2019m just giving you facts, that he wasn\u2019t into, like, eight<\/em>-year-olds.\u201d<\/p>\n On the Thursday edition of The Megyn Kelly Show<\/em><\/a>,<\/em> which airs on SiriusXM and YouTube, she again addressed the Epstein email release, criticizing the media\u2019s reaction to it. \u201cThis effort to turn the Epstein story into the [Donald]<\/strong> Trump<\/strong> story completely undermines the actual search for truth when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein,\u201d she said. \u201cWhich is why many of us resent these Johnny-come-latelies finally getting interested in the story.\u201d<\/p>\n To Kelly, the emails only prove that Trump had no knowledge of Epstein\u2019s sex trafficking operation. \u201cNow, every media outlet known to man is reporting on every word Epstein penned related to Donald Trump in a mad search to tie the president to the disgraced financiers\u2019s sexual crimes. So far, it hasn\u2019t worked,\u201d she said. \u201cBut this is a pathetic and blatant piece of proof that these people don\u2019t care at all about sex trafficking victims. The media cares about one thing and one thing only: getting Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n Citing her apparently deep familiarity with the case was a surprising tack, considering she got into hot water in the first place for boasting about her supposed internal knowledge of Epstein\u2019s operation. On Wednesday<\/a>, she told her audience that \u201csomebody very, very close to this case who is in a position to know virtually everything\u201d said they had thought Epstein \u201cliked the very young teen types that could pass for even younger than they were, but would look legal to a passerby.\u201d Liberals immediately seized on her remarks, including comedian Patton Oswalt<\/strong>\u2014who got suspended from BlueSky<\/a> for quoting Kelly beneath this succinct assessment: \u201cWood chipper, feet first.\u201d<\/p>\n
