The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/em><\/a> star Heather Gay<\/strong><\/a> is getting real about the price of fame \u2014 literally.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pursuit of perfection is never fully possible, just like it\u2019s not possible to be fully hair-free,\u201d Gay, 51, told Bustle<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Thursday, November 13. \u201cCounting all of the things I\u2019ve had done, I\u2019m probably $200,000 into my physical appearance \u2014 and it was worth every penny.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gay explained that once she \u201chad the money and the time,\u201d she started investing in her appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always said that I\u2019d be so much cuter if I were richer,\u201d she quipped. \u201cI\u2019m richer now \u2014 and I\u2019m so much cuter because of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tReal Housewives often go through relatable ordeals \u2014 divorce, family drama, health issues, etc. \u2014 but they\u2019re very rarely relatable themselves. Sure, they might get nervous about running into an ex-husband (or his first wife) in public, but they can recover in the comfort of their private jets. Not so with Heather Gay, the down-to-earth [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Bravo star is famously the owner of Beauty Lab + Laser (that iconic season 2 scene will never let you forget it), so she has become the \u201cguinea pig for any new service,\u201d but also created a system that allows women to get Botox<\/a> without telling anyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was married to a husband who was fairly frugal, and you just can\u2019t justify preventative Botox for thousands of dollars when it\u2019s your husband\u2019s money,\u201d she explained. \u201cWhen I started Beauty Lab, we actually built our business around that exact problem. It\u2019s really hard to get your husband to pay for Botox and filler because he thinks it\u2019s not natural.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gay was married to Frank William \u201cBilly\u201d Gay III<\/strong> for 11 years. They separated in 2011 and their divorce was finalized in 2014.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven if you\u2019re wealthy, it\u2019s considered an unnecessary expense because you\u2019re just supposed to look beautiful as a woman and have it be effortless,\u201d Gay explained. \u201cBut we started letting women use their \u2018Costco cash\u2019 \u2014 so you get $200 cash back when you do the groceries, then in a month or two, you\u2019ve got enough for your Botox treatment. Nobody needs to know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gay shared that she goes in \u201cquarterly\u201d for her Botox treatments \u2014 but this can change if she\u2019s filming the show. As for her lip filler, Gay only goes \u201conce or twice a year \u2014 if that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI also get filler, facials, and laser hair removal,\u201d Gay said. \u201cAnother treatment I get is Sculptra, which is a collagen stimulator, with big long needles on your face. It\u2019s pretty intense, but it\u2019s not an actual filler; it\u2019s just a filler stimulant.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFrom Love Island USA\u2019s Vanna Einerson to The Real Housewives of Mormon Wives\u2019 Layla Taylor, a number of Utah stars have been candid about getting plastic surgery at young ages. Take Demi Engemann, for example, who told Page Six in 2024 that \u201cUtah\u2019s known for having very minimal procedures done to where we still look [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She estimated Botox at $1,000 per treatment with hair removal costing $580 for a package of eight treatments. The Sculptra was estimated at $4,000 per treatment. Her lip treatments cost around $600. Gay speculated that her bill at Beauty Lab specifically would be about $11,912 for the year with these treatments alone.<\/p>\n

Gay said she previously had two nose jobs before appearing on RHOSLC<\/em> and revealed that she got a \u201cmommy makeover,\u201d including \u201ca tummy tuck and a boob job,\u201d during her marriage. Gay noted that\u2019s why she \u201clooked so good on the cover of Us Weekly<\/em> magazine in a swimsuit<\/a>,\u201d noting that the \u201cfoundations\u201d had been \u201csurgically implanted\u201d previously.)<\/p>\n
