Simone Biles<\/strong> <\/a>was always planning to publicly address her breast augmentation.<\/p>\n

Biles, 28, got candid about why she decided to go under the knife in a new interview with People<\/em><\/a> published on Thursday, November 13.<\/p>\n

The gymnast made it clear that she wasn\u2019t unhappy about the way she looked before getting the surgery<\/a>, but wanted to feel even more confident. \u201cIt\u2019s just something that I notice obviously a little bit more because I live in this body, I\u2019m just so used to it,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

When it came to sharing the news with her followers, Biles shared that she\u2019s \u201calways tried to be open, honest and relatable.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSimone Biles just landed more than a tumbling pass \u2014 she may have confirmed long-running speculation that she underwent a breast augmentation. The gold-medal winning gymnast, 28, shared a not-so-subtle hint that she had the cosmetic procedure in a new Instagram Stories post shared on Wednesday, October 15, along with a video of herself jumping [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cSeeing me win medals at the Olympics, that\u2019s not relatable,\u201d she quipped. \u201cBut what is relatable is how we feel about ourselves, what we talk about, what we go through and how we share openly, honestly. And so that\u2019s why I decided to share it,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Biles added that social media \u201cis not real\u201d so she always tries \u201cto be as transparent as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI also think it shows young girls that they have the right to their own choices, whatever they are, and that\u2019s no shame added as well,\u201d Biles noted. \u201cI feel like nowadays with social media, you see everyone and you\u2019re like, \u2018Oh my God, how does she look so good?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

When it comes to other work that she\u2019s had done<\/a>, Biles shared that when she turned 27, she experimented with Botox, but \u201cit didn\u2019t go well.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t like it because I had a floating eyebrow and everyone was asking what that was,\u201d Biles told the publication.<\/p>\n

She also got a lower bleph surgery to remove extra skin from her eyelids. \u201cMe and my family have, I call it the \u2018Biles eye bags,’\u201d she joked. \u201cWe\u2019ve just always had them, hereditary, and so that was just a big flaw.\u201d \u2028\u2028Biles recalled being at photo shoots and the team wanting to put eye \u201cstrips\u201d on her to make her appear less tired.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I was like, \u2018Oh, baby, I had 12 hours last night, these aren\u2019t going away. These are just hereditary,’\u201d she recalled telling the team. \u201cSo it\u2019s something that I wanted to fix.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also had plastic surgery on her ear after an earring got ripped out during her childhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cOK, obviously you can notice the breasts,\u201d she says. \u201cBut other than that, it\u2019s just feeling good about yourself and loving yourself, and I\u2019ve always been very vocal about that.\u201d<\/p>\n
