Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s devotion to Special Forces<\/em><\/a> challenges seemingly made it harder for him to build friendships on the show.<\/p>\n In Us Weekly<\/em>\u2018s exclusive preview of the Thursday, November 13, episode of the Fox show, Kody, 56, is paired off with Brianna LaPaglia<\/strong> and Shawn Johnson East<\/strong>, but things don\u2019t appear to be going well for the recruits.<\/p>\n \u201cI have great relationships with some people and not-so-great relationships with others,\u201d he shares in a confessional. \u201cBut what other people think about me has never been important enough for me to change.\u201d<\/p>\n Kody\u2019s consistent questions<\/a> keep bothering Brianna, 26, and Shawn, 33. They urge the Sister Wives<\/em> star to \u201cstay together,\u201d but the challenge only gets more tense. (As viewers already know, Kody has often been left out in season 4 as his fellow recruits poke fun at him behind his back.)<\/p>\n Special Forces<\/em>, which premiered in 2023, puts contestants through harsh, military-style training based on actual Special Forces selection processes. They face intense physical and mental challenges designed to push their limits.<\/p>\n Kody is one of many reality TV stars making up<\/a> the season 4 cast of Special Forces<\/em>. At this point in the competition, Brianna, Andrew East<\/strong>, Shawn, Randall Cobb<\/strong> and Gia Giudice<\/strong> are still in the running for the victory.<\/p>\n Before the season premiere, Kody exclusively opened up to Us<\/em> about some of the battles he personally faced while competing on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cThere was one time when my muscles gave out,\u201d he said in September. \u201cWe were supposed to be swinging across monkey bars, and I had sand on my hands, and I couldn\u2019t cup the monkey bars. I just didn\u2019t have the strength anymore to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n Kody recalled the Directing Staff (DS) instructors trying to haze the recruits.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t even know what they call the punishment,\u201d he shared. \u201cWe\u2019re standing and I\u2019ve been in this water, and I started to shiver. I don\u2019t want the DS [to see] that. I don\u2019t want them seeing any signs of weakness because they\u2019ll play on that.\u201d<\/p>\n At the time, Kody shared a story about leaning<\/a> into a fake wheeze to make it seem like he was hitting his limit.<\/p>\n
