Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> was a dream houseguest while she recorded her hit 2020 album Evermore<\/em><\/a> at Marcus Mumford<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s home studio.<\/p>\n Speaking on the Wednesday, November 12, episode of the \u201cTable Manners With Jessie and Lennie Ware\u201d<\/a> podcast, the Mumford & Sons frontman recalled how Swift\u2019s producer, Aaron Dessner<\/strong>, reached out to him to ask if the pop superstar could use his personal studio, which is situated on the farm Mumford and wife Carey Mulligan<\/strong><\/a> own in Devon, England.<\/p>\n \u201cAaron called me and said, \u2018I\u2019ve got someone I\u2019m working with that needs a studio in the U.K.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Cool. Well, if it\u2019s one of your homies, then I\u2019m sure it\u2019ll be fine. Like, what is it? Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong> or something?\u2019\u201d Mumford, 38, recalled. \u201cHe was looking for a discreet studio in London. I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t think there really are any.\u2019 And he was like, \u2018Can they come and use yours?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd it was Taylor Swift. She came down right at the end of COVID, and was the most phenomenal houseguest,\u201d Mumford praised the \u201cFate of Ophelia\u201d singer. \u201cBurned a lot of vegetables for her. And she brought a killer candle. Her candle game was excellent. And she finished the second half of Evermore<\/em> in our studio, which was really sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then she asked me to sing on one [of the songs] and I said yes,\u201d he added, referring to performing backing vocals on the Evermore<\/em> track \u201cCowboy Like Me.\u201d<\/p>\n
