Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> received some meaningful advice from her All\u2019s Fair<\/em> costar Sarah Paulson<\/strong><\/a> about finding love again.<\/p>\n

During the Thursday, November 13, episode of The Kardashians<\/em><\/a>, Kim, 45, was asked about the bond she formed with Sarah, 50, while filming Ryan Murphy\u2019<\/strong>s newest scripted<\/a> Hulu series.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re on set with a group of girls that you\u2019re really close to and you\u2019re there 16 hours a day, they can\u2019t help but see [the highs and lows],\u201d Kim explained. \u201cWhen one of my kids is having a hard night or things are crazy, they see how I cope and how I deal with everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kim then remembered how Sarah mentioned a theory<\/a> she had about her love life. The actress got on a call with Kim to explain how she should consider approaching her search for The One.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tKim Kardashian has been candid through the years about dipping her toe back into the dating pool after divorce. Kardashian initially tied the knot with producer Damon Thomas, with whom she was married for three years until the pair called it quits in 2003. Nearly one decade later, Kardashian got engaged to Kris Humphries in [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI think your thing of having been on camera for so long \u2014 there is a sense of being watched and being hyperaware of what you were doing all the time \u2014 that you had to be mindful of how open you were and how much you let things affect you,\u201d Sarah noted. \u201cYou\u2019ve lived inside this sphere of like, \u2018People are looking at me and I\u2019m strong and I can handle it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Sarah pointed out that heightened<\/a> public attention escalated the situation, saying, \u201cBut it\u2019s also things like increased fame has gotten more and then your marriage [to Kanye West]. Those things mean you have to shut it down even more. The amount of times you\u2019re trying to keep everything little and tight around your kids so they don\u2019t have all the information about what it\u2019s like for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

While reflecting on Kim\u2019s challenges, Sarah encouraged her to shift her approach.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you want to protect them, I just think there\u2019s something about being aware and savvy enough that, like, \u2018My goal is to calcify enough that I can take it and it doesn\u2019t matter what anybody says,’\u201d she shared. \u201cI\u2019m actually wanting more for you of whatever the next romance of your life is for that to be able to bloom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kim acknowledged in a confessional<\/a> how she has had to \u201cput up this wall to overprotect\u201d herself, adding, \u201cI just maybe don\u2019t open up to love. I guess the root of healing takes longer. It\u2019ll come and when it happens, if you do a little bit of this stuff with the therapist about desensitizing, it just allows for the full openness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had already split when filming for The Kardashians began, but the rapper is still a big presence on the show. \u201cKanye and I are still going through a divorce now,\u201d the Skims founder, 41, said during the debut episode of the Hulu series, which premieres on Thursday, April [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Producers asked Kim if living her life<\/a> in the public eye affected her outlook.<\/p>\n
