After eight years away from acting, Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a> is making her Hollywood comeback<\/a> with a small role in Close Personal Friends,<\/em> an Amazon MGM comedy about two couples\u2014one famous, one civilian\u2014costarring Lily Collins<\/strong><\/a> and Brie Larson<\/a>.<\/strong> According to reports, the Duchess of Sussex will play herself in the film, which also stars Jack Quaid<\/strong> and Henry Golding.<\/strong> And she has already been spotted on set. \u201cShe was joking that she felt a bit rusty, but it was obvious that she had rehearsed and that it was a big deal for her to be back,\u201d a source told People<\/em><\/a> on Monday of Meghan\u2019s return.<\/p>\n Directed by Jason Orley,<\/strong> according The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>,<\/em> Close Personal Friends<\/em> tells the tale of two lovers who meet a celebrity couple on a trip to Santa Barbara, California\u2014which, coincidentally, is not far from the Montecito compound<\/a> where Meghan has been living with her husband, Prince Harry<\/a>,<\/strong> and their two children, Archie<\/strong><\/a> and Lilibet<\/a>,<\/strong> since stepping back from royal duties<\/a> in 2020. Vanity Fair<\/em> has reached out to Meghan\u2019s representative for comment.<\/p>\n Once upon a time<\/a>, before Meghan married Harry in 2018, she famously played lawyer Rachel Zane on the Canadian series Suits,<\/em> which had a sudden resurgence<\/a> on streaming during summer 2023.
