\t\t<\/p>\n Idina Menzel<\/strong><\/a> is giving a new live performance of \u201cDefying Gravity\u201d ahead of the release of Wicked: For Good<\/em>.<\/p>\n The Tony-winning actress, who was the original Elphaba on Broadway, performed the iconic song at the Stand Up For Heroes<\/em><\/strong> charity event on Monday (November 10) at Lincoln Center in New York City. <\/p>\n The event, part of the NYCF running through November 16, raised more than $4.5 million for the Bob Woodruff Foundation, whose mission is to ensure that our nation\u2019s veterans, service members, and their families \u2014 those who stood for us \u2014 have stable and successful futures.<\/p>\n Lea Michele<\/strong><\/a>, Leslie Odom Jr<\/strong><\/a>, Alex Edelman<\/strong><\/a>, Jon Stewart<\/strong><\/a>, Jim Gaffigan<\/strong><\/a>, and Mike Birbiglia<\/strong><\/a> all performed at the event as well. <\/p>\n It\u2019s been a Wicked<\/em>-filled week for Idina<\/strong> as she attended the opening night performance of former co-star Kristin Chenoweth<\/strong>\u2018s new musical<\/a> the evening before. <\/p>\n \n
