Adapted from Mona Kasten\u2019s Save You book series, the German series follows Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten<\/strong><\/a>), a scholarship student with a secret, and James Beaufort (Damian Hardung<\/strong><\/a>), the wealthy classmate who\u2019s determined to uncover it. From fiery arguments to stolen glances, their complicated dynamic has viewers hooked\u2014and, naturally, fans can\u2019t stop wondering if the sparks between Harriet and Damian extend off-screen.<\/p>\n Harriet revealed that sparks didn\u2019t ignite right away during auditions. \u201cI think in our first audition, he had come into the room and he had this suit on and I was like, \u2018Who\u2019s this arrogant boy there?\u2019 But in our second and last audition, it just clicked and we had tension,\u201d she told Us Weekly<\/em> in June 2024. \u201cSo we had chemistry, we just didn\u2019t see that.\u201d<\/p>\n And when it comes to dating rumors, Harriet set the record straight on the January 2025 episode of the \u201cG Spot\u201d podcast. \u201cWe are not together and we weren\u2019t together either,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n She also opened up about the pressure of constant fan speculation. \u201cWhen you always read these comments about how we are so together, I started to get pressure that it had to be true,\u201d she explained. \u201cSo I was like, \u2018Only when that is the case, I will do people justice and then they will be happy.\u2019 I thought that for a long time.
