Comedian Nikki Glaser<\/strong> <\/a>and her boyfriend, Chris Convy<\/strong>, have been off-and-on for a decade.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the off-and-on is [because] I\u2019m just terrified of committing to anything forever,\u201d Glaser said during a May 2024 appearance on the Howard Stern Show<\/i><\/a>. \u201cI think committing to something forever makes me think of no other adventures. It\u2019s just, kind of, admitting defeat. It\u2019s settling.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Glaser, she and Convy have broken up \u201cprobably five times in 10 years.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cOur breaks have gone from maybe two days to one was three years long,\u201d she recalled. \u201cHe\u2019s broken up with me. In the beginning of our relationship, I think I wanted a boyfriend so badly, I really misrepresented who I was.\u201d<\/p>\n

2013<\/b><\/h2>\n

Glaser and Convy met on the set of her MTV series, Nikki & Sara Live.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was my first TV show and he was a producer on the show and he was from St. Louis, where I was from,\u201d Glaser recalled during an October 2022 appearance on In Depth With Graham Bensinger<\/i>.<\/a> \u201cI just quit drinking, like, a year before that and I didn\u2019t want to have any relationships with people who were heavy drinkers.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Glaser, she initially thought Convy was cute but \u201ctoo fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was, like, a party that we all met each other at,\u201d she added. \u201cHe was dancing and he was just, like, too fun and smiley. I was like, \u2018That guy\u2019s wasted because how could you be that way?\u2019 So, I just wrote him off, like, \u2018No not for me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

When Glaser realized Convy was also sober<\/a>, she developed a \u201ccrush.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI just had a crush from afar for a really long time, which was so fun because I was just, like, pining for him constantly,\u201d she quipped. \u201cIt was very Jim and Pam [from The Office<\/i>.] I was Jim and he had no idea. He was my first real boyfriend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glaser previously told Us Weekly<\/i><\/span><\/a> <\/i>in her 2022 \u201c25 Things You Don\u2019t Know About Me\u201d feature that she had her first boyfriend at the age of 24.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNikki Glaser\u2019s parents played a large role in her career \u2013 even before making headlines themselves. Born in 1984, the comedian is the oldest of Julie and Edward Glaser\u2019s two children. Despite having supportive parents, Nikki has previously opened up about not wanting to become a mother herself. \u201cI think some moms think that if [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

2016<\/b><\/h2>\n

Convy continued to work alongside Glaser, producing her one-season show Not Safe With Nikki Glaser <\/i>on Comedy Central. Around the same time that the show was canceled after one season, they broke up.<\/p>\n

2020<\/b><\/h2>\n

Amid the coronavirus pandemic<\/a>, Glaser moved back to her native St. Louis and sold her docuseries Welcome Home Nikki Glaser <\/i>to the E! network. While the TV host initially pitched it as a dating show, she later started seeing Convy again off camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cI kinda [wanted] to date someone who will be on camera with me,\u201d she told Graham Bensinger<\/strong> in 2022, then revealing what she told Convy. \u201cI\u2019ll keep seeing you in private, but I have to date on the show unless you want to be on camera and he was like, \u2018I\u2019ll do it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Glaser called Convy\u2019s willingness to publicize their relationship a \u201cturning point\u201d because it illustrated how much he loved her.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wants to, like, share a thing together, so it was just all these things,\u201d she added. \u201cThen I started doing things that were hard for me to do, like, making time for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

2022<\/b><\/h2>\n

During Glaser\u2019s sit-down with Bensinger, she confirmed that she and Convy briefly split that September.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast month was like a \u2018do-or-die\u2019 situation, where it was like, \u2018What are we doing? Where is this leading me?\u2019\u201d she added. \u201cWe never talked about marriage. We both signed on nine years ago as people who didn\u2019t want to get married, didn\u2019t want to have kids, but now he\u2019s in his 40s [and] I\u2019m in my late 30s. What are we doing? Our priorities have changed, our goals have changed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glaser offered more insight into their relationship on SiriusXM\u2019s The Howard Stern Show<\/i>, noting that they previously split over her podcast confessions.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot because I thought he won\u2019t hear them, but they would just come out naturally under the guise of \u2018it\u2019s comedy!\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cHe eventually heard them and goes, \u2018I don\u2019t recognize who this person is.\u2019 \u2026 He had every reason to break up with me because it was jarring to him because I was just lying all the time. He really got me to stop lying, I\u2019m better at it. I\u2019m not perfect at it because I still fear abandonment, so there\u2019s some issues in our relationship where I fear he\u2019s going to be mad at me.\u201d<\/p>\n

June 2025<\/h2>\n

Glaser discussed the difficulties of deciding to joke about her relationship in her standup acts in an interview with People<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe hardest part is talking about your relationship on stage or injecting jokes where you\u2019re upset about something, and you bring it to the stage before you bring it to him. So maybe that\u2019s where tension arises, but not really anymore,\u201d she said, adding that Convy is \u201cso cool\u201d and has \u201cgiven [her] permission\u201d to joke about him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said, \u2018You can talk about anything on stage about me as long as it\u2019s funny. The second it isn\u2019t, if it bombs, then we have an issue,\u201d Glaser continued. \u201c\u2018If you\u2019re just venting up there just to get it off your chest and embarrass me, not good, but if you\u2019re up there and you\u2019re making a solid joke, you can do whatever you want.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
