November 6 was Maude Apatow<\/strong>\u2019s big day. The actor\u2014who in May 2026 will be able to claim hyphenate status with the theatrical release of her directorial debut, Poetic License<\/em>\u2014received Max Mara\u2019s Face of the Future Award at the Chateau Marmont.<\/p>\n She accepted it wearing, obviously, Max Mara (a black turtleneck and pink petal skirt from the brand\u2019s spring-summer 2026 collection, to be exact) as a crowd that included Kate Hudson<\/strong> and Sarah Paulson<\/strong> (also wearing Max Mara) clapped on. Given the fashion-brand-ness of it all, you\u2019d be forgiven for thinking this was just a fashion-brand thing.<\/em> But considering the impressive list of past recipients\u2014over the past 20 years, the Face of the Future Award been awarded to names like Gemma Chan, Elizabeth Debicki, Rose Byrne, Hailee Steinfeld,<\/strong> and Emily Blunt<\/strong>\u2014is somewhat of a bellwether on the bright young things of today that will become the household names of tomorrow.<\/p>\n \u201cI honestly can\u2019t believe my name is being spoken in the same sentence as them,\u201d Apatow says, her eyes wide and bob sharp while sitting in the distinct brown and pink suites at Sunset Tower.<\/p>\n She\u2019s several weeks out from filming the hotly anticipated Euphoria<\/em> season three<\/a>. Still, the thought of talking about it with a reporter sends her into a fit of anxiety: \u201cOh my god, I\u2019m so scared to say anything,\u201d she says, hiding her face in her hands. \u201cI guess everyone knows this, but it\u2019s like five years in the future. So we\u2019re all out of college and living our lives and in the workforce. I have a full job<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n
