\n<\/p>\n
The Stifmeister! Seann William Scott<\/strong><\/a> exclusively talked to Us Weekly<\/em> about his iconic American Pie<\/em> character, Steve Stifler, and revealed whether he\u2019d ever reprise the role.<\/p>\n \u201cI just love that character and everybody involved<\/a> [with the movie],\u201d the Final Destination<\/em> actor, 46, shared with Us<\/em> on Wednesday, May 24, while promoting his upcoming film The Wrath of Becky<\/em>, which hits theaters on Friday, May 26. \u201cI think that could be really fun to see that character again, but it\u2019d have to be, like, a perfect script.\u201d<\/p>\n Although Scott noted that he didn\u2019t know whether his return to the American Pie<\/em> franchise \u201cwould ever happen,\u201d he spoke of his experience playing Stifler fondly. \u201cThat\u2019s the most fun character<\/a> I think,\u201d he said. \u201cCause he is such a weirdo. He\u2019s such a weirdo that, like, he can kind of get away with anything. But deep down, he just wants to be loved.\u201d<\/p>\n The Dude, Where\u2019s My Car?<\/em> star isn\u2019t the only American Pie<\/em> cast member who has hinted at wanting to pick up where they left off. Jason Biggs<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 who played awkward protagonist Jim Levenstein \u2014 exclusively told Us<\/em> in February 2020 that he hadn\u2019t \u201centirely given up hope\u201d of doing more films<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think there is a world in which \u2014 if all of the things fall into place that need to fall into place \u2014 there\u2019s a world in which we can make another one,\u201d the Orange Is the New Black<\/em> <\/a>alum, 45, said at the time.<\/p>\n Both Scott and Biggs appeared in all four of the original films, last appearing in 2012\u2019s American Reunion<\/em>. The franchise has also produced five spinoff films to date, none of which the two OG actors participated in.<\/p>\n Scott may have risen to prominence playing the loudmouthed jock in the comedy films, but the Minnesota native feels just as home in the world of drama, if not more so. In The Wrath of Becky<\/em> \u2014 a sequel to the 2020 film Becky<\/em> \u2014 he plays a neo-Nazi named Darryl. Along with his fascist organization The Noble Men, Darryl goes head-to-head with the 16-year-old titular character (Lulu Wilson<\/strong>) after breaking into her home and kidnapping her dog.<\/p>\n \u201cI really liked playing a more dramatic, kind of serious character,\u201d Scott told Us<\/em> of his experience on the film. \u201cI don\u2019t know what this says about me, that it was easier for me to tap into this kind of character than most of the comedies, but I think comedies are more challenging for me, just because [you] either are gonna make it funny or not, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n Despite enjoying the darker subject matter, the Lethal Weapon<\/em> alum noted that he doesn\u2019t \u201crelate to anything\u201d about his villainous character. \u201cThat would make me kind of a psycho. \u2026 I relate to his beard. Because sometimes I have a beard<\/a> that\u2019s similar and I like his beard,\u201d he joked. \u201cBut that might be it.\u201d<\/p>\n Not only did Scott\u2019s portrayal of Darryl offer him the \u201copportunity to do something pretty different than what I\u2019ve done throughout most of my career,\u201d but the film marks \u201cone of the rare times\u201d he\u2019s done press for a movie without feeling \u201clike a fraud.\u201d He told Us<\/em>: \u201cCause there\u2019s times where you\u2019re like, \u2018Go see the movie. It\u2019s great.\u2019 And inside, you\u2019re like, \u2018Ah, [I\u2019m] lying to them.’\u201d<\/p>\n The Goon<\/em> actor \u2014 who has been married to<\/a> interior designer Olivia Korenberg<\/strong><\/a> since 2019 \u2014 added that he thinks viewers will enjoy the film even if they didn\u2019t see the OG Becky<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI saw it in a theater a couple days ago with my father-in-law who\u2019s 75, who\u2019s just awesome. He was laughing. He was, like, shocked. He was freaking out. He was kind of scared. And this isn\u2019t really his type of movie,\u201d Scott explained. \u201cIt\u2019s funny, it\u2019s dark. There\u2019s a little bit of wish fulfillment.\u201d<\/p>\n The Wrath of Becky<\/em> hits theaters on Friday, May 26.<\/p>\n
