And she detailed why.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe just was not a very good parent,\u201d Mykelti characterized. Harsh but true!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe wasn\u2019t a very good mom,\u201d she continued. \u201cShe was not fun to be [around].\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some parents are \u201cnot fun\u201d because they are very serious or busy working. In Meri\u2019s case, it sounds like due to emotional instability \u2014 something disqualifying and inexcusable in a parent.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"MYKELTI AND TONY INTERVIEW | Sister Wives\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/e4BtdhZSUgA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>During the chat, Mykelti mentioned mom <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2025\/08\/christine-brown-kody-hurt-me-when-he-took-my-virginity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Christine Brown\u2019s book<\/a> and how it addresses why she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2025\/09\/christine-brown-explains-okay-this-is-why-i-hate-meri\/?20971bta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">doesn\u2019t really associate with Meri<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe says it without saying it,\u201d she said of her mother, suggesting that there\u2019s more to the story of Christine\u2019s parting with Meri.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeri\u2019s personality is very hard,\u201d Mykelti characterized. \u201cShe has a very aggressive personality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though a couple of her siblings have accused Meri of being physically abusive, Mykelti describes what sounds like emotional abuse.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot physically but, like, \u2018go in, get it done,&#8217;\u201d she explained. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter your age; If you didn\u2019t do it in a timely manner, you get in trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mykelti acknowledged: \u201cShe was very, very hard and she was very strict. She tended to pick on me a lot, more so than the other kids. But it sounds like those attempts only reinforced who and what she has chosen to be.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we got older, she would do that classic, \u2018I\u2019m so sorry. I love you.
