King Charles<\/a> during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday (04.11.25) for his \u201cservices to sport and charity\u201d and for the occasion David wore a custom charcoal-grey morning suit \u2013 the first bespoke menswear piece designed by Victoria\u2019s fashion label. <\/p>\nThe three-piece suit was crafted from a British wool mohair blend and featured a sharply tailored lapel.<\/p>\n
Victoria, 51, attended the ceremony in a custom navy version of her brand\u2019s Bela dress, which featured an elongated asymmetric hem. <\/p>\n
David\u2019s parents, Ted Beckham and Sandra West, were also present for the occasion. <\/p>\n
\nFollowing the ceremony, the former Manchester United star officially became Sir David Beckham, while Victoria is now Lady Beckham.<\/p>\n
\nThe honour comes more than two decades after David was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2003. Victoria celebrated the news in a post on social media, writing: \u201cYou\u2019ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it\u2019s official. Sir David Beckham!! What an honour, I couldn\u2019t be prouder of you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking after the ceremony, David said he and the King spoke about fashion during their conversation.<\/p>\n
\nThe ex-footballer said: \u201cHe was quite impressed with my suit. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe\u2019s kind of the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years, and he definitely inspired this look.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nReferring to his wife\u2019s design, David added: \u201cIt was something that my wife made me. I looked at old pictures of him when he was quite young in morning suits and I was like, okay, that\u2019s what I want to wear, so I gave it to my wife and she did it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nIn her recent three-part Netflix docuseries Victoria Beckham, the designer spoke candidly about the financial challenges she faced in her business and how David helped her through them. <\/p>\n
\nShe said on the show: \u201cI almost lost everything, and that was a dark, dark time. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI used to cry before I went to work every day because I felt like a firefighter. We were 10s of millions in the red.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYes, I\u2019m going home to my husband, but I\u2019m going home to my business partner as well. And so I would talk to him about it. I had to. He was invested. And I hated it. I absolutely hated it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDavid said those conversations \u201cbroke\u201d his heart because Victoria is \u201ca proud woman\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nHe recalled when they first met \u201cshe was a lot richer than me\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nDavid added: \u201cShe actually bought our first house in Hertfordshire known as Beckingham Palace. So for her to have to come to me and say, \u2018Can I have some \u2013 we need some more money. The business needs more money\u2019, that was hard for both of us because I didn\u2019t have the money to keep doing this and eventually I was like, \u2018This cannot continue\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nVictoria later brought on businessman David Belhassen as a partner to help rescue the company. <\/p>\n
\nHe initially declined the offer but later changed his mind, reportedly encouraged by his wife\u2019s fondness for the brand.<\/p>\n
