Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/strong>\u2019s highly anticipated appearance on The View<\/i><\/span><\/a> had a surprisingly peaceful ending.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people wanted me to come on the show and say nasty things, and they wanted all of us to fight,\u201d Greene, 51, said on the<\/span><\/a> Tuesday, November 4, episode of ABC\u2019s hit daytime talk show. \u201cI didn\u2019t want to do that today because I believe people with powerful voices like myself and like you \u2014 and especially women to women \u2014 we need to pave a new path.\u201d<\/p>\n

While sitting down with hosts Whoopi Goldberg<\/strong><\/a>, Sara Haines<\/strong>, Joy Behar<\/strong><\/a>, Sunny Hostin<\/strong><\/a> and Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/strong><\/a>, Greene explained how it will likely be women who find a way to make America even stronger.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur beautiful country \u2014 our red, white and blue flag \u2014 is just being ripped to shreds, and I think it takes women of maturity to sew it back together,\u201d she continued. \u201cI think that happens through free speech.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSunny Hostin isn\u2019t mad \u2014 she\u2019s just disappointed in some of her former daytime comrades. Hostin, 55, has been a full-time cohost on The View since 2016, which means she\u2019s seen plenty of women cycle in and out of the long-running morning chat show.\u00a0 Despite some widely-publicized exits, however, Hostin exclusively told Us Weekly, \u201cI\u2019m [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Before appearing on The View<\/i>, the United States representative for Georgia\u2019s 14th congressional district said via X that she faced criticism from \u201cpathetic Republican men<\/span><\/a>\u201d for agreeing to go on the talk show.<\/p>\n

Although Behar, 83, jokingly asked for names, Greene expressed her belief that \u201cthere\u2019s a lot of paid social media influencers\u201d online who post for the sole purposes of sewing division.<\/p>\n

\u201cI found it very interesting that they were the \u2018MAGA accounts\u2019 but they\u2019re all paid and they all attacked me when I announced I was coming to join you ladies on The View<\/i>,\u201d she claimed. \u201cI think that\u2019s very weak and pathetic. When I talk about weak Republican men, I\u2019m pretty much talking oftentimes about the leadership in the House and the Senate, and they\u2019re not getting our agenda done.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if House Speaker Mike Johnson<\/strong> should come on The View<\/i>, Greene replied, \u201cAbsolutely, I think Mike Johnson should come on this show.\u201d The cohosts added that the congressman from Louisiana has a standing open invitation.<\/p>\n

During her appearance on the talk show, Greene answered questions about the alleged Jeffrey Epstein<\/strong> files. She also discussed the ongoing government shutdown.<\/p>\n

(The government has been shut down for 35 days at the time of publication \u2014 tying the record for the longest-ever shutdown of the federal government in the nation\u2019s history. Government workers, including air traffic controllers, are furloughed or working without pay as social programs, like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, are in jeopardy.)<\/p>\n

While Greene has been outspoken (and critical) about her own Republican party amid the shutdown, she assured viewers that her political affiliation has not changed.<\/p>\n
