The 56-year-old Friends\u2019 actress\u2019 author and hypnotherapist partner, 49, issued the advice in a clip he posted from an Instagram Q and A session in which he was asked: \u201cHow to find love at 42?\u201d <\/p>\n
Jim replied: \u201cThat\u2019s a great question \u2013 same as you do at 22 and 32 but with more confidence, more experience and more authenticity. You\u2019re not old. First love yourself and recognize that you are the perfect age.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cAnd that life is not over at 42. When you are 62 and 72, you will look back at 42 and wish that you were that age. So start now. Go out, open yourself to love. <\/p>\n
\u201cMake eye contact and smile. Connect with people, and most importantly, love yourself. When you love yourself, you will magnetize more love to you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJim\u2019s social media profile describes his mission as helping people \u201cheal and thrive by upgrading your I AM\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nHe has worked in health and wellness for more than two decades and frequently shares motivational videos on relationships and emotional growth.<\/p>\n
\nThe author was first linked to Jennifer in July after the pair were photographed together on a yacht. <\/p>\n
\nSince then, Jim has accompanied the actress to the Morning Show season four premiere in September and joined her and friends Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka for a dinner outing in August.<\/p>\n
\nA source told People the couple are \u201ccasually dating and having fun\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nAnother insider said Jim has helped Jennifer \u201cslow down\u201d, explaining the actress \u2013 long known for her busy schedule \u2013 is learning to take a step back. <\/p>\n
\nThey added: \u201cShe\u2019s so used to going 100 miles an hour while balancing projects. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cJim has helped her turn inwards and slow down a bit.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe source also said Jim \u201creally appreciates and feels proud of everything she\u2019s built\u201d, adding: \u201cShe can be very hard on herself \u2026 He supports her in a way that feels new.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to People earlier this month, Jennifer said she has become more disciplined about setting aside time for herself. She added: \u201cThis is another thing that I\u2019ve gotten really good at in the last couple of years \u2013 carving out time. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cJust saying to the team, \u2018The month of blanky blank is off. We\u2019re not going to do anything for whatever happens to be the month that would work that year\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cI\u2019m going to take off. I\u2019m going to have a vacation. There\u2019s going to be no work. And you just kind of have to put it on your calendar.\u201d<\/p>\n
