18 years after Kelly Bryan<\/strong> died, Luke Bryan<\/strong> discussed misinformation about his sister\u2019s 2007 death in a candid interview and shared what that difficult experience was like for him.<\/p>\n \u201cI never really explained what happened to my sister, there\u2019s some misinformation out there on the internet and I think some people wonder what happened and they think that we\u2019ve tried to cover it up,\u201d Luke, 49, explained while appearing on the Wednesday, October 29, episode on CNN\u2019s \u201cAll There Is\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is a very, very small percentage of people who die for no reason \u2014 and it\u2019s called sudden death syndrome and that\u2019s essentially what they described my sister\u2019s death as.\u201d<\/p>\n Luke then recalled of her passing, \u201cShe was in her home doing her laundry and it was like somebody turned the switch off on her and it was just tragic beyond words.\u201d<\/p>\n What Happened to Sonya Massey? Everything to Know About Her Death and Murder Trial<\/a><\/p>\n The \u201cCountry Girl\u201d singer went on to note that there were \u201cso many unanswered questions\u201d regarding Kelly\u2019s death, sharing that her autopsy was completely inconclusive.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was everything in our life,\u201d Luke said of Kelly, who was the mother to kids Jordan<\/strong>, now 30, Kris<\/strong>, now 27, and Tilden<\/strong>, now 23. \u201cShe was the best mother you could ever dream of, and we all leaned on her for so many things and it\u2019s hard to wrap your head around her being gone.\u201d<\/p>\n Prior to Kelly\u2019s passing, Luke already lost a sibling when his older brother, Chris Bryan<\/strong>, died at the age of 26 in a vehicle collision in 1996. While Luke already grieved Chris\u2019 death, he said that processing Kelly\u2019s passing was \u201cso different.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMy brother, you can conceptualize a car accident,\u201d he said. \u201cBut you can\u2019t really conceptualize someone that was healthy as a horse and she\u2019s just gone.\u201d<\/p>\n Luke added that the experience was made even more difficult by watching his nieces and nephew grieve the loss of Kelly. \u201cI could not understand how these kids were going to go through their life without the best mother on the planet,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n However, Luke did note that having Kelly\u2019s kids around helped his own grieving process. \u201cI can see her in them,\u201d he said. \u201cI can see mannerisms in them. I can see so many tangible things in my nieces that are my sister.\u201d<\/p>\n
