Matthew Perry<\/a>‘s sister still hears his voice.<\/p>\n

The late Matthew Perry’s presence is still felt by his sister<\/p>\n

The Friends star passed away at the age of 54 in October 2023 and his sibling Caitlin Morrison continues to feel his presence two years on from his death.<\/p>\n

She told Variety: “I feel him around a lot and I can hear the things that he would say in response to the things that are going on as if he’s actually here saying them. Maybe he is. I don’t know. Who knows? Maybe ghosts are real.”<\/p>\n

Caitlin founded the nonprofit initiative the Matthew Perry<\/a> House \u2013 which aims to support those living with addiction \u2013 following her brother’s death from an accidental ketamine overdose and felt that it was “natural” step for her take after the tragedy.<\/p>\n

She explained: “I’ve had this whole career in nonprofits and charities. It was a very natural thing for my mind to do after he died \u2013 to try to work what I knew how to do into bringing some kind of meaning and purpose to this horrible, horrible thing that shouldn’t have happened.”<\/p>\n

\nTuesday (28.10.25) marked the second anniversary of Perry’s death and Caitlin is trying to take a balanced approach when it comes to grief.<\/p>\n

\nShe said: “It’s just always going to be a day with a little bit of darkness on it.<\/p>\n

\n“But maybe that’s wrong \u2013 because on his birthday this year, I realised I was actually more OK that day than usual.<\/p>\n

\n“Those days like October 28th don’t actually make it harder. They’re the days where it’s allowed to be really hard. They’re permission to cry publicly in an embarrassing way.”<\/p>\n

\nCaitlin quipped: “The defensive mechanism funny answer is he ruined Halloween for me, so thanks.<\/p>\n

\n“The serious answer is… it’s just a day with a little bit of darkness on it.”<\/p>\n

\nMatthew’s Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston revealed how she mourned the actor \u2013 who played Chandler Bing in the popular sitcom \u2013 “for a long time” prior to his death because of the long battle he fought against addiction.<\/p>\n

\nShe told Vanity Fair magazine in August: “We did everything we could when we could.<\/p>\n

\n“But it almost felt like we\u2019d been mourning Matthew for a long time because his battle with that disease was a really hard one for him to fight. <\/p>\n

\n“As hard as it was for all of us and for the fans, there\u2019s a part of me that thinks this is better. I\u2019m glad he\u2019s out of that pain.”<\/p>\n
