Kelsey Grammer<\/a> has officially become a dad \u2014 <\/em>again \u2014<\/em> at the age of 70.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Frasier <\/em>star announced he and his wife, Kayte Walsh, 46, recently welcomed a baby boy named Christopher during an appearance Monday on the\u00a0Pod Meets World\u00a0<\/em>podcast.<\/a><\/p>\n

This is the 70-year-old actor\u2019s eighth child, and his fourth with Walsh.<\/p>\n

Grammer told Boy Meets World <\/em>actors Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong that he and his wife \u201cjust had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was, like, three days ago,\u201d the Cheers <\/em>actor added. \u201cChristopher that\u2019s just joined the family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Walsh\u2019s pregnancy was announced in June<\/a> after photos published by People<\/a> showed Grammer walking through a park in London beside his wife, who was wearing a flowy black dress. They were joined by their three children, Faith, 13, Gabriel, 11, and James, 8.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Frasier<\/em>\u00a0star and Walsh got married in February 2011 in New York City, following his divorce from\u00a0Real Housewives of Beverly Hills\u00a0<\/em>alum Camille Grammer, with whom he shares daughter Mason, 24, and son Jude, 21.<\/p>\n

Grammer is also dad to his daughter Spencer, 42, whom he shares with ex-wife Doreen Alderman, and daughter Greer, 33, with ex Barrie Buckner.<\/p>\n

He previously spoke about how his work as an actor has helped him become a great father.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy children\u2014my young children, older children\u2014the happiest I ever am is if they\u2019re all in the same room together,\u201d Grammer told Variety in June of 2024<\/a>. \u201cMy work has allowed me to be able to do that. I\u2019ve been given this great experience. It\u2019s been painful and challenging and hard and tragic\u2014all those things. But boy, it\u2019s a great life. And I want to pass that on to them.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the same interview, Grammer hinted that some of his children might want to follow in his footsteps in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cKayte and I were talking about how it\u2019s really something that a child would follow in their father\u2019s footsteps,\u201d he said. \u201cTo think that all my kids, at least the ones that have a hand in the air, are ready to take responsibility for their lives, are all drawn to this industry. [Kayte] said, \u2018That\u2019s something to be proud of.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Last May, Grammer\u00a0told People<\/a> that he\u2019s been \u201cplaying catch up\u201d with his older children.<\/p>\n
