New Bachelorette<\/em> Taylor Frankie Paul<\/strong><\/a> is weighing in on the possibility of her ex, Dakota Mortensen<\/strong>, showing up on the hit reality dating show.<\/p>\n

\u201c[If] he\u2019s here, he wants to try, like, that wouldn\u2019t shock me,\u201d The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em> star, 31, told Entertainment Tonight in a clip shared by host Zachary Reality<\/strong> via X<\/a> on Monday, October 21. \u201cAnd also like, kind of the same thing with bad news from him. Shocker, you did it again, like it\u2019s just like, for me, I wouldn\u2019t be shocked.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor dated Dakota, 32, after she and ex-husband Tate Paul<\/strong> divorced following the infamous MomTok swinging scandal. The controversy involved Taylor hooking up with various couples within their ultra close Mormon community, including Miranda McWhorter<\/strong> and her then-husband, Chase McWhorter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Taylor and Dakota first started dating in 2022, going on to welcome their son Ever before their September 2024 split. (Taylor also shares daughter Indy and son Ocean with her ex-husband.)<\/p>\n

On the heels of the Wednesday, September 10, announcement that the 31-year-old Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star will star on season 22 of The Bachelorette, Us Weekly spoke to Taylor for an exclusive interview. \u201cWhat I\u2019m most looking [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While speaking to Us Weekly<\/em> in September shortly after she was announced as this year\u2019s Bachelorette, Taylor admitted she had not yet told Dakota that she would appear on the hit dating show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have not confirmed it with him. It\u2019s just not something that\u2019s been on, like, my priority list to confirm with him,\u201d Taylor exclusively told Us<\/em> at the time. \u201cI don\u2019t know exactly how he\u2019ll react or feel, but he does know that we opened the gates of dating other people. [He\u2019ll] probably [be] sad. I assume that it\u2019s like, \u2018Whoa, she\u2019s gonna be dating people, a lot, and then also, in front of me,\u2019 and that\u2019s probably gonna be kind of hard to watch.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI can\u2019t speak for him, but I\u2019d assume it wouldn\u2019t be the best news he\u2019s heard on that day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dakota seemingly reacted to the casting news via his Instagram Stories on September 10<\/a>. \u201cHad so many curve balls today and every time I am always reminded there is nothing more important than God and family \u2764\ufe0f,\u201d he wrote alongside a selfie. \u201cLife is too short.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dakota reiterated that he has nothing but support for Taylor two days later.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am happy for Tay, and I hope she finds happiness,\u201d Dakota captioned a September 12 TikTok video<\/a>, parodying Taylor\u2019s previous upload wishing to be the next Bachelor Nation lead.<\/p>\n
