Award-winning costume designers, such as Colleen Atwood,<\/strong> Milena Canonero,<\/strong> Ruth E. Carter<\/a>,<\/strong> Catherine Martin,<\/strong> Arianne Phillips,<\/strong> Sandy Powell,<\/strong> and Jacqueline West<\/strong> would collaborate with the world\u2019s top fashion houses to create their costumes from iconic movies, and show how iconic movies inspired real-life fashion.<\/p>\n On Sunday, before it was time to call \u201caction,\u201d Luhrmann was up and about, kissing cheeks and shaking hands (including with California governor Gavin Newsom,<\/strong> who sat front row with his family). He mingled through the Hollywood heavy crowd that included Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Connelly,<\/strong> and Henry Golding.<\/strong> Then the lights dimmed and the music started\u2014showtime!<\/p>\n Once the cameras began to roll they didn\u2019t stop for 30 minutes. Kendall Jenner<\/strong> (or as Luhrmann introduced her, \u201cKJ,\u201d hit the runway in a bedazzled costume once worn by Kidman in Moulin Rouge.<\/em> One of her BFFs, Hailey Bieber,<\/strong> wearing a black leather Mugler dress, whipped out her phone to film Jenner as she walked by. More costumes designed for Luhrmann\u2019s films, including The Great Gatsby,<\/em> were interspersed with romantic looks from Miuccia Prada<\/strong> and Alessandro Michele<\/strong>\u2019s Gucci.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
