The 74-year-old actress found love with John Zambetti, 76, two years ago, but she and the doctor like to mark their love for one another regularly because they don’t know how much time they will have together due to their advancing years.<\/p>\n
Jane told Briain’s HELLO! magazine: “Today is our 25th anniversary \u2013 25 months today.<\/p>\n
“We decided that [because] we met in our seventies it\u2019s probably safer to go every month. So every month, on the fourth, he sends me roses, wherever I am, whatever\u2019s going on. We\u2019re just so grateful for every minute we have together.” <\/p>\n
Jane – who was married four times before she met John – feels “so fortunate” that she and her partner, who is also a musician, met so much later in life because she doesn’t think things would have worked out between them otherwise.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “You\u2019ve had a life. Many lives. And children, and grandchildren, and careers, and ups and downs. You know what you want. I consider both of us so fortunate to have found each other at the time we have, because it wouldn\u2019t have ever worked earlier. <\/p>\n
\n“He had a different life \u2013 his world was medicine and touring, and mine was running around the world making movies. I think we met each other at exactly the right time.” <\/p>\n
\nThe Harry Wild actress admitted that sex is still important in their relationship.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “In my parents\u2019 generation, and I think a lot of people, they reach a certain age and they go, \u2018That\u2019s not part of our life any more, and it\u2019s not necessary\u2019. I just think, with maturity, you understand your body, you understand what feels good and you have knowledge, so put it down to that.”<\/p>\n
\nJane couldn’t be happier with her life today.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I honestly never thought I would find a really committed, healthy, lovely, loving relationship at this time of my life, but I\u2019m incredibly blessed that I have. 70 is the new 50…<\/p>\n
\n“To have life and to have the world that we live in, and to have my grandchildren and friends and work that I love, and a man that I love. That combination gives me joy.”<\/p>\n
