Matt Roloff recently underwent hospitalization<\/a>.<\/p>\nWhat began as a routine exam ended up having some complications. There was good news and bad news, he reported.<\/p>\n
Fans obviously flooded his social media comments with well wishes.<\/p>\n
But the silence from some who are much closer to him was stunning. Why did Matt\u2019s own sons snub <\/em>him during this?<\/p>\n<\/noscript>Matt Roloff is smiling through the pain. (Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nFirst, let\u2019s go into what went down that landed Matt in the hospital and then under doctor\u2019s orders to take it easy for a while.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast week was a bit rough\u2026went in for what I thought was routine upper endoscopy to check out my esophagus\u2026\u201d Matt began on social media.<\/p>\n
He continued: \u201cWhen things don\u2019t go as planned and the Doc tells Caryn, \u2018We had some complications.’\u201d<\/p>\nThey\u2019re engaged! \u201cGood news is\u2026I didn\u2019t need the computer chip and monitor installed!\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n
On a more serious note, Matt added: \u201cScary news is more work to be done.\u201d<\/p>\nIn mid-March of 2023, Matt Roloff shared this photo. He was standing on some very early work on his future dream home. He\u2019s going to need more walls. Some people don\u2019t know how to motivate themselves to work. And some people don\u2019t know how to take time off. Matt has often indicated that he is of the latter temperament.<\/p>\n

Even when others were simply sharing the news, far from Matt\u2019s own pages, some fans for some reason responded as if Matt would personally see their reply.<\/p>\n
(It sometimes reminds people of a small child yelling \u201cno!\u201d at a cartoon as if the preschool-appropriate cartoon can hear, but it\u2019s a harmless habit)<\/p>\nIn his Instagram Story, Jeremy Roloff announced big plans for his and his wife\u2019s $1.5 million farm. But fans couldn\u2019t help but think of his brother\u2019s family\u2019s update from just days earlier. Coincidence? (Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nBut, as we mentioned, there have been a couple of deafening silences in the wake of Matt\u2019s hospitalization.<\/p>\n
Twin brothers Jeremy and Zach Roloff, Matt\u2019s sons, have not made a peep in public about their father\u2019s hospitalization.<\/p>\n
And fans are taking notice.<\/p>\nIn this photo, Zach Roloff poses in front of a pumpkin patch. (Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nFor reference, if a Real Housewife found herself in the hospital and then on bedrest, we\u2019d see comments from her castmates. We\u2019d see comments even from Housewives from other shows in the franchise. Even from other Bravolebrities entirely.<\/p>\n
Why? Because it\u2019s nice, and because famous people know what it means to publicly show support.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Roloffs have been on reality TV longer than most Housewives \u2014 or almost any other reality TV personality. It would be a weird choice for public figures, but the Roloffs have all <\/em>made weird choices. <\/p>\nBut it is also possible that their family feud made them unwilling to take that extra step to give Matt a public shoutout.<\/p>\n
We don\u2019t know. But fans are talking about it, so we are, too.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
