\t\t<\/p>\n Jennifer\u2019s Body<\/em><\/strong><\/a> director Karyn Kusama<\/strong><\/a> is teasing what\u2019s next for the cult classic.<\/p>\n The 57-year-old filmmaker shared an exciting update this week, revealing that original writer Diablo Cody<\/strong><\/a> is currently working on a script for the long-awaited sequel.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very excited to hear what comes of it,\u201d Karyn<\/strong> told Deadline<\/a><\/em> ahead of her upcoming reunion with star Megan Fox<\/strong><\/a> for a special Jennifer\u2019s Body<\/em> screening at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Saturday (October 25). <\/p>\n \u201cI know some of the bones of it, so I\u2019m not going to give anything away, but it sounds fun and crazy like the first film. And I have no doubt that Diablo<\/strong> will do something absolutely incredible with it,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n Karyn<\/strong> also reflected on the movie\u2019s renewed popularity in recent years. The horror comedy even got a playful nod on Benito Skinner<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s Prime Video comedy Overcompensating<\/em> where Megan<\/strong> made a cameo appearance<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cFor the part of me that has a healthy ego that I try to keep in check, to have Jennifer\u2019s Body<\/em> be like the antidote to another classic film that I worship,\u201d the Girlfight<\/em> director said. \u201cBut the idea that Jennifer\u2019s Body<\/em> would be somebody\u2019s Godfather<\/em>, that just tickles me all the way down to my toes.\u201d<\/p>\n Amanda Seyfried<\/strong><\/a>, who co-starred with Megan<\/strong> in the 2009 movie, previously confirmed that a sequel is in the works.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
